I never saw Jeff Kent play 2nd base for SF; however, from what I've seen this year of him playing 2nd for the Astros, he seems to make a lot of errors on routine plays. He already has 3 errors this year that lead to some runs. All and all, astros are better off with Jeff Kent at 2nd because of his offensive capabilities. Too bad, his defensive skills are a little rusty.
You forgot to mention his running skills (or lack of), thrown out by 2 steps, maybe more, on a slow grounder to shortstop, which completed a doubleplay.
The Ump made a terrible call on Brian Hunter in the 9th that could have scored Hidalgo. Hunter was safe by a mile.
