    Thomas did not comment on the injury, but the official story according to a Rockets spokesman is that Thomas claims to have hurt himself when the door of a restaurant in Miami swung open unexpectedly and caught him in the face.

    Though Thomas looked like Mitch Green after his infamous late night trip to a Harlem haberdashery, there is no truth to the rumor started by a wiseguy in the Rockets' locker room that the door is named Mike Tyson.

    I think Kenny definitely gets the award for strangest injuries. Nick van Exel strained a rib muscle putting on his shirt and couldn't shoot for days. Eddie Griffin stubbed his toe on a hotel bed leg. But Kenny has got (1) getting hit in the face with a door (who would make something like that up? I'd rather tell people I was punched out) and (2) getting bit on the face by a little dog. Who can beat that?
