The guy had 32 on 10-14 and 14 boards... the guy plays, and he plays hard. I know Eddie G had a lot of potential but dang, those numbers would be nice next to Yao and T-Mac. Sac definitely got the better out of the Webber deal. the trade reminds me of the Hershel Walker Minnesota trade. C`mon Badiane, hurry up and get your s""" together.

Why do the Rockets need a Juwan Howard clone when they have the original?

Houston doesn't need some skinny guy who thinks he's a power forward taking turnaround jumpers all night long. They need somebody that will throw some 'bows and make these guards that keep lighting our backcourt up think twice about bringing it into the paint...

Now, just because we traded away a solid rebounder/scorer in Kenny Thomas and let his small forward/shooting guard replacement James Posey walk for nothing and dumped (OK, this one is debatable) head-case Eggie who's a shot-blocking PF who shoots the three (which JVG didn't like at the time but now would love to have).....

I mean, come on. What's to complain about?

KT wasn't going to re-sign. It's not like we never realized he was an extremely good role player.

It's amazing how much we can still moan about when the team's future is brighter than it has been in at least 6 years.

    Crisco,

I totally agree. There's no lard in your statement.
Kenny Thomas, not only is better than Webber, he can also survive dog attacks.

KT isn't an enforcer who'll take pressure off Yao. He's good at what he does (black hole) and he'll probably put up good numbers in our system, but he doesn't fix the PF hole defensively.

Lunacy. KT is definitely a better player today, but not better than Juwon's best, which, sadly for both of them, isn't saying that that much.

I love the revisionist history here. Kenny Thomas blows. If he was on this team, forget about Yao ever getting the ball.

Puhlease...how soon you guys forget. If y'all thought MoT was a black hole, you've never seen Kenny Thomas play.

He's a good player, a solid PF/SF...nothing more. Unfortunately, he thinks he's an all-star. On paper, he'd look good on our team, but he would definitely screw up the nice unselfish chemistry we currently have on offense.

Don't forget the effect of Bibby and Peja. Seems like any power forward who can catch the ball excels when playing with those guys. Notice how Webber was putting up all-star numbers before the trade, and nowhere near that afterwards.

With that said, KT could definately help us. He is much quicker than Juwan and a better rebounder now. His jumper is a little spotty, but i would love to have him crashing the boards when Yao puts up shots. The only question is, would he be able to accept the role of garbage man and rebounder instead of ballhog?

I don't know why some insist on hating on KT. He was our best PF when he was here and he's better than any PF we have now, including a healthy Juwan. I think it is fairly obvious we'd be a better team with him on it. But we don't have him, fine.

How Many X-Rockets make the playoffs?
    Shanderson
    JJ
    KT
    Cuttino

Looks like you got the history wrong. KT was traded because one powerforward, MoTay had one of the worst contracts in the league and there was no way to move him and the other Eddie Griffin had three draft picks invested in him.

    ?

I merely said he was selfish, I didn't say that was why he was traded. Of our 3 power forwards from that era, KT was the best. But I sure as hell am glad he's not on this team. He doesn't know the meaning of the word "pass." Juwon fits fine.

Of the Kings games that I've watched so far since the trade, KT has looked extremely unselfish. I've yet to see a Kings fan complain about him being selfish. Nor did I ever see a Sixers fan complain about him never passing.

But at that point the question was do you trade KT or Eddie it didnt matter about draft picks we would have got a heck of a lot if we would have traded EG that year because of his "potential" but Eddie was def. a consideration to get traded he hadnt really done what we expected out of him up to that point. but oh well its over we traded away kt who we traded away to get posey who we would let go to the western conf. memphis. not what i thought was smart but oh well we got great JIMMY JAX out of it haha.
