He's still out there, and reports say he's be cheaper than Daniels for a backup PG.

    Thoughts?

I think he'd be perfect if it was a cheap, short term deal.

obviously you haven't watched much of him in the last few years. That isn't really his game anymore. Now he just runs the offense and plays d.

not only does he run an offense and play d, but he is a tall enough player to allow steve to slide to the two and still cover the opposing teams backcourt. IMO he is very underrated, but I do believe that his services will get bid up as time progresses.

Kenny Anderson would be a very good backup for this team. But are we willing to spend the money to get him?

Orlando just signed Ty Lue to a 2 year 3 million dollar contract. That is a excellent contract for a backup PG. Looks like guys like Ollie and Daniels are getting MUCH higher contracts than that (3 million per), and quite frankly will be getting overpaid.

Doubtful we can get Anderson at 1.5 million a season but if we can we should jump all over that one!

I just dont like the idea of this team going into the season with Moochie as the 3rd guard on this team. The backup 1 and 2 guard spots need to be filled with qualified players.

Damn. I suggested this two months ago and got panned. Not that I feel bad about getting panned, but my how times have changed. At this point, folks on this board would be happy with just about anyone.

Kenny Anderson's still a solid backup, but he's SUCH a pain in the a$$... He wore out welcomes in Charlotte, Portland, and Seattle, and I'm really not sure how much gas he has left in the tank. He won't be around by the time we're title contenders in 4-5 years, though I guess Pike won't either. I dunno if signing him is really worth the personal issues he brings.

    Werd.

Two months ago people still had hopes we could get a tall, talented less controversial PG. Anderson's talent level -- especially for a backup -- can't be questioned. However, because of his checkered past, the Rocks shouldn't offer more than the veteran's minimum.

isn't he a distant cousin to Kenny Smith?

is he still married to that drama queen from Real World LA? I wonder how she feels about the whole Kobe rape thing.
