When you consider P.J. Carlesimo was KD's coach as a rookie and part of his 2nd year, he's done just fine. I expect the Thunder to be significantly improved this season. Believe me, KD is NOTHING like Glen Robinson or Jamal Mashburn, especially between the ears. But for people that haven't followed him very closely the last 2 years, I understand your sentiments.

Lebron Tmac Pierce and Artest woudnlt be half as good if dey weren't big..if KD was big..god knows how good he could be but lets not forget his rookie season with those atrocious FG%..Also, i dont think high fg % has to do with body size..

He has already surpassed Robinson and Mashburn. Look at his second season (at the age of 20) and he has already equaled or surpassed either one of those guys best seasons. Then, look at how much he improved from his rookie season to his 2nd year and all indications point to this kid getting better and better. All reports I've seen say he has a work ethic and competitiveness that the all time greats had. There is no reason to think he won't put it all together and learn how to win at the NBA level.

I'd have to disagree with you here. The will, effort and heart to do and accomplish something do not go with the ability or a special skillset. I could have more drive and heart than McGrady and still might NEVER accomplish anything on the basketball court and vice versa.

How many 6'10 guys are more athletic than Kevin Durant?

Why has it become so cool for players to not be athletic? Every fan favorite player "doesn't rely on speed" and most of the hated players are "wasting their gifts".

This is going to be his breakout year. He can move to his natural position of small forward after they drafted Harden. He's the fourth best player in the league and pretty soon could be the best along with LeBron.

"Lebrick" was averaging 27, 7 and 7 at age 20.

At the end of last season, KD obviously wasn't the 4th best player in the NBA. At the end of the coming season, it is possible he will be. I didn't say it was likely, but don't totally rule it out.

For all the KD is the greatest, why his team can't win more games than Rudy Gs squad? It took Roy 1 yr to get to .500. Until he gets the thunder to .500, stop the foolishness or he will be deemed a chucker :D. Isn't that what people on this board normally says about a guy putting up good numbers on a bad team? How long did it take the overrated carmello to get in the playoffs?

In his first season. Nuggets goes from 17-65 pre Carmelo and never miss a playoff since.
