NBA LP Broadband doesn't show games on NBA TV. It really ticks me off. I'm probably gonna have to go back to Comcast.

Mason's contract expires this season. I doubt they'll resign him.

I don't know why some of you guys are saying Kevin Durant lacks playmaking skill.

McGrady was not known as a playmaker till a few years ago, and he was one of the best in the league

Given Durant time, with his height and age, he could become one of the better passers in the league in the future if he developed nicely as a playmaking.

    Last night:

    46 minutes, 10-23 FG, 24-26 FTM-A, 15 Rebs, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and only 2 turnovers

    That's impressive.

So many of us were saying that long ago....Portland taking Oden was a mistake.

    Oden ;)

I agree and I said it before the draft that Durant would have the better career but I don't know if I would call drafting Oden a mistake.

Sorry, but I don't think the Blazers regret taking Oden. Having a dominant (or at least above average) C is a recipe for success. Oden has shown flashes of that. I don't care if Kevin averages 30+, having a center in many ways is more beneficial. For you people who have given up on Oden, you are going to eat crow in a couple years.

I've said since before the draft the Blazers would regret taking Oden over KD. But after watching Oden this season and comparing him to Amare after his surgery, I'm not 100% sure. Oden played only 1 year of college ball and missed one year of basketball because of surgery. He wasn't even able to practice 5 on 5 until 5-6 weeks before the season. Oden has improved A LOT since the season started and continues progressing. I think next year we are going to see a completely different player and people may be surprised. He's slowing getting there but Oden still doesn't have his athleticism back.

I'd still say the Blazers made a mistake because pairing KD with Brandon Roy and having Nate McMillan as his coach makes you ponder the possibilities.

The thing is you have to go for the center no matter what. Even Jordan in all his greatness Vernon Maxwell, yes Vernon Maxwell gave him fits from time to time. Now look at Yao when he got ticked off vs the Nuggets the other day, literally unstoppable when he wants to be. A great wing like Jordan or Lebron is dominant 98% of the time but there's still some hope that somehow he may have an off night from time to time, but Yao Ming if he would just get pissed off at life and play like he did in the sonics game or the nuggets game on a consistent basis, the NBA would literally be f****d he is that dominant. Honestly looking at portland today and the future with Aldridge,Roy,Rudy,Bayless I think Oden fits in better because he demands the ball less, but KD is no doubt the better player but no way you pass on an athletic 7 footer EVER

I still don't agree it was a mistake. Sure at this moment, in hindsight, its 20/20 that the Blazers should have taken Durant.

No one could have for seen an injury as serious as microfracture knee surgery.

I still believe its impossible to pass up on a guy with that much athleticism and that much size. Who wouldn't want the next Amare Stoudemire or Dwight Howard??

By the way in his last 3 games he has 24/14 10/8 and 18/14. He missed a year of basketball even before an NBA game and he's still learning how not to foul. Remember a certain 7'6" center who molested everyone he guarded his rookie year?

They already have an awesome big, he's name is Lamarcus Aldridge. If they had picked KD they would been in the playoffs last year, and most certainly would be the second coming of the Jordan/Pippen combo...maybe better since KD has more talent and athletecism and Pippen and Jordan never had a low post scorer like Aldridge. Oden looks like he won't be a bust, but then again the defense and rebounding he provides is already given by Prizabilla. I'm also not sure how having Oden and LA would work out, makes me think one of them would have sacrifice part of their game. There's a reason the Spurs went with utility centers and not made signing another big man who can score down low their priority with TD already there.

At this point in his career, I don't think it is fair to make any judgement on his team's overall record as to how much potential Durant has.

After a rough start, Oden and Aldridge now play very well together. Earlier in the season, Oden's presence on the floor threw Aldridge off his game. Now they've figured out how to stay out of each other's way. If/when Oden starts to command double-teams, Aldridge will become even more deadly playing off him.

All I can say is that the guy is the only player keeping me afloat in my fantasy league. As for him rivaling LeBron? Ah, that just gave me a good guffaw.
