I'm glad KHS won. I went to Katy Mayde Creek, so I saw the Tigers the time we played them a couple years ago. They killed us of course. My fiancee graduated from Katy 3 years ago, the year they won state, and she dragged me to San Antonio to see the game in the Alamodome. I went not caring, but then I saw just how arrogant those Southlake fans were. Friday night on the Riverwalk was trash-talk city. I was proud of the Katy kids for being the bigger person and not jawing back too much. The game...well the game was outstanding. Those KHS fans are SOOO LOUD. I couldn't hear myself think.

Coach Mike Johnston is something else. To have such limited talent and still win state definitely shows something about him. And also - the next morning, the coach and half the team (inc. the marquee players) showed up for the morning service at First Baptist Church of Katy.

Wow. I wish I would have gone to Katy. :p Maybe I would have a ring.

No, I am about 40 miles away, but our tv news coverage and our newspaper coverage cover all small towns around here.
