exactly....perfectly said...Tmac shoots 8--28 and nobody is blaming him....one loss and everybody is on JVG again....we didn't get outcoached...we just don't have the players to match up well with the Suns...if we do have a chance to beat them, its if our players hit shots..ie HEad, alston, Battier, Tmac, Yao...nobody showed up....

You guys are missing the boat on blaming Yao and Tmac last night....they tood those shots but they were CONTESTED shots.

JVG needs to scheme better against the Suns to get them better looks.

Doesn't help that Yao commits 5 TO's in a row and gets rejected by frickin Kurt Thomas multiple times. Yao was clearly off yesterday.

Yes, due to the Suns defense.

Yes blame the players but if the coach can see that his stars are not performing well but in the bench to at least bring a spark or give them some valuable playing time not garbage time. I just want our bench to be better prepared to help the team our bench has been given the chance.

Yao and Tmac were a major problem. So we should bench them even though we were kind of in the game until the 4th quarter???

Here's the thing about JVG and Rox playoff chances...

Even Van Grumpy fans have to be at least a little bit concerned that if we're down to an elimination game, and his vaunted defense is unable to stop the Mavs or Suns with "the usual suspects" (Rafer & Luther) playing perimeter/backcourt and not getting it done on D (as has been the case all year except for that fluke game against the Mavs)....

the question remains will JVG swallow his ego and use Snyder, JL III and Bonzie.... or will he just go down with the ship (wreck?) he created by not allowing substantial bench contributors to be anything more than spectators?

I simply do NOT trust JVG's judgement in the clutch. As much as I trust Yao and Tracy to be great, I have equal mistrust for Van Gundy's ability to make in-game adjustments, whether on defense or especially on offense (as the game against the Suns so clearly demonstrated!!!)
