    Caught some of it.

-Played some trivia game with Matt Jackson

-Talked about MoT, that he was in an offensive funk early in the season, was coming around then the flu came, then the plantar whatchamacallem. Said that it's tougher to get minutes at the 4 (PF) this year then last. Last year it was Cato and Yao then Cato would slide over to the 5 when Mo came in. This year it's Juwan, Padgett, Witherspoon, and MoT. Also said that Juwan and MoT basically have the same game...basically implying that having both is redundant.

-Talked about the fronting of Yao. He said that Yao wasn't good at catching lobs over the fronting defensive player, that the best way to combat this is do the pick and roll. He made another point about Yao but I forgot.

-Said that this year's team not as quick and the shotblocking is not as good.

-Talked about Rudy T and empathized with him. Did talk about hoping Rudy rejoining the Rockets family sooner then later.

-Talked about the All-Star game, didn't seem to care too much about it

-Didn't care about the SuperBowl, picked Patriots after Matt said just pretend to care and pick one

That's what I can remember right now. Hopefully someone else can point out other stuff JVG said or elaborate the stuff here.

    Very vanilla.

    1. Talked about Motay. Did say with a straight face that Mo has the Planta stuff. From the way he talked about him, it sounded like something was brewing.......He was responding to a caller's inquiry on Mo's situation with the team and he just said Mo is a duplicate of Juwan......blah blah blah blah.

    2. Said that Rudy needs to hurry up and come back to the Rox organization. That he feels strongly that Rudy is a Rocket through and through - that once his assignment with the Lakers is over, he would love to see Rudy finish his career as a Rox.

    3. Talked about Yao's development and his desire to be a consistent 34-35 minutes per game. Said Yao is improving steadily.

    4. Talked about the twolves. Said that Madsen, Cassell and someone else is/has been out with injuries and that has affected them greatly.

    5. Talked about how hard it is to pick the reserves of the ASG. He talked a little about his experience as the ASG coach for the East in Feb. of 2000 in response to a question by Matt Jackson, the host.

    6. Said the weather in Minny now is beautiful and nice.

    7. Talked about how good Strick and Wes handled Iverson. Talked about how Strick is steadily improving.

    8. Talked about his unhappiness with our first quarter in the game against Philly. He said Juwan saved our butts in the first quarter with some key rebounds (especially the offensive rebounds that that led to key 2nd chance points). He also talked about the good ball movement in that game.

In all he sounded tired (maybe he just woke up from sleep). He did not do too well in the Q & A - some other fan beat him today. He also commended Tracy of someother things but I cannot really recall.

    =========================================

Please excuse my spelling and errors...cos I am in a hurry. I hope that helps.

Thanks Fegwu. The Mo for D.A. rumor seems not baseless. Gundy doesnt talk about player publicly like that.

Of course not. Those are 3 or 4 days wasted when he could be practicing. :)
