    JVG=Dave Campo?

    For someone who can't handle his players, it sure looks like a comparison w/ Dave Campo and his Cowgirls when that asswipe took over in '99. What the hell are we suppose to do w/ him?

    Actually, I think JVG=Parcells. Both had their time and are just running off of that. Both haven't showed much with their new teams and are struggling.

    But most of all, both are stubborn as hell. There is obviously something wrong with what their doing and both talk about it, but they are doing nothing to change it.

    adding on to the parcells comment, both have a history of going out of their way to aquire players they are comfortable with from previous teams.

    they fail to consider whether those players can still perform like they did 5 years ago, or the question of whether or not those players fill any need to the current team.

    testaverde = charlie ward
    richie andeson = weatherspoon
    etc.....

    However, Parcells has a proven track record and all his players respect him. JVG is trying to be like parcells but he doesn't have the 2 championship rings to make people respect him and football isn't basketball.

    I agree with the Campo but not with Parcells. If JVG had won multiple rings, that's one thing. However, he has not. He's actually done nothing but ride Pat Riley's coattails and is a pretty good defensive coach. JVG's stubbornness though is becoming overly apparant.

    Parcells is actually a great motivator and a great coach. Records don't tell the whole story. Marvin Lewis in Cinci is a great coach but Cinci is struggling so who knows. I do know that IMHO

    JVG is not the right fit here.
