I will be the first one to do so

I knew he worked hard on his game but didnt think He could actually play so good

I think he deserves an appreciation thread

we need Him to play like this day in day out for us to stay afloat before Yao comes back

The guy is really playing well. He is shooting it better and rebounding very well. He has always been a "pro's pro" always playing hard, preparing, accepting his role, etc. Good job Juwan.

Have to give it up to JHO. I for one didn't think he had something to contribute to the Rockets but I was wrong and I am glad he is still doing what he has been doing this year for the Rockets. Just 5 more weeks and Yao will be working his way back.

I don't know how anybody could "hate" Juwon. Sometimes he might not be playing good, but you can tell he always tries hard.

I'll admit it...I'm a JHo Hater. But he has been playing fairly well the past couple of weeks. Maybe its a matter of him finally knowing his role and accepting it. He's a much better "complementary" player vs a primary option. Hopefully he won't lose sight of that. As long as JHo focuses more on rebounding, defense, and hustle maybe my JHo hate will wear off. Time will tell.

    First off, you're right.

Second of all, if we can take this opportunity to pawn him off for a point guard who can hit the three consistently, followed by Bonzi for a tough forward/center type, DO IT!

Third, I think perhaps the fact that he's not playing quite as many minutes, and can therefore play harder, is a contributing factor.

Though I've never been a Juwan "hater" I still remain a strong skeptic. The people who've called him a cancer and the single biggest problem with the team were silly to me.

Later in the season let's see how well he plays. I still say his well is going to run dry and we should trade him before that happens.

It was the sunglasses. I bet anyone $20 it was the sunglasses.

They turned him from Juwan "useless" howard into Juwan Man, superhero extraordinaire!

Now we just need to get the rest of the team to steal some.

As of now, when Juwan gets the ball, get out of his way and let him work :D

He's playing really well. Frankly, after that first month, I didn't think he'd have these sort of games in him. Overall, he's been outplaying Chuck in the month of December. I still think Chuck does more for the team doesn't show up on the stat sheet. We generally seem to play much better and with more energy when he's on the court.

Let us not get too carried away. Our PF spot is the weakest- we shall see.

What you guys are not seeing is what the opposition is doing. Yes against Atlanta he was "dominating"-

Trade him while these numbers look good.

You are a little late. I am an avowed Juwan basher and I was giving him props games ago bro.

I give the credit to the fine coaching. OK, OK, just kidding. No bashing while I run like hell from the jvg haters.....

Or maybe it could be that the sunglasses incident has given him some street cred and the other PF's are now scared of Juwan.

I just hope he doesn't run out of the human growth hormone before the end of the season.

Or maybe he just got pissed about being benched to scrub minutes and he is coming out with some attitude and not resting on his contract cash anymore. Stay angry Juwan!

I'll admit that I have hated on him forever but he has been stepping this season since that horrible slump he was in. But J Ho made it so easy for us to hate on him....he was playing selfish and with no passion on D. I like how he has reacted to JVG benching him. I didnt buy it then but I guess he was right about playing "plenty of minutes"

im owning up to my diss on juwan. everytime he touched the ball i was like "oh god please dont shoot"

now im rootin for him to do a spin to the basket, or a head fake and dribble-drive.

also gotta give him props for pickin up 10+ boards in his last games. way to go juwanaman.

Juwan may be one of the most important piece for the Yaoless rockets

because he is the only low post offensive option that is a 4 or a 5

He's doing a good job in accepting his new role as a bench player while making quality plays at the same time. He and Kurt Thomas have the most efficient baseline and midrange jumper in the game for power forwards that is.

I believe I wrote the following yesterday in the "There is hope" thread:

"Juwan came into the season ready to pick up where he left off scoring when he was our primary scorer. He is going to bring his scoring up."
