Rolling Stones fans don't appreciate Timberlake. Plus, Britney becomes a Duke
    by BeatBoxBetty

Okay, so who was the brainiac who thought Rolling Stones fans would enjoy hearing "Cry Me A River" or "Rock Your Body" from former 'N Sync-er Justin Timberlake? Whoever it was, they're definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.

At the recent Stones concert to revive tourism in Toronto after the SARS outbreak, the pop singer did not receive the warmest of welcomes from the crowd. In fact, he had to dodge both water bottles and insults that were being flung from the audience. While he tried to convince the rebellious rock fans it would all "be over before you know it," the angry villagers just booed and jeered him throughout his entire set.

Later he reappeared with back-up reinforcements (Mick Jagger and Keith Richards) who tried to guilt the audience into give him a chance. Richards even stared down the crowd and motioned to them to show some respect. Talk about a hostile take-over!

I wonder if MacBeth was there? Knowing his luck, he probably partied with the Stones after the concert.

I gotta agree with whoever wrote that article. What would make them think those people would want to see Justin Timberlake perform!?

I wonder if Justin cried after that?

This, plus the fact that Jennifer Lopez's new "movie" is getting ripped in the press, shows that there IS justice in the world.

I for one will sleep a little easier tonight. :D

This reminds me of the 1983 Texxas Jam (I think it's spelled with two x's). I wasn't there, but apparently (I think it was in Dallas) Styx played its "Domo arigato Mr. Roboto" BS Tin Pan Alley-type laser show, before Sammy Hagar hit the stage. Styx was mercilessly booed.

Now, I like Styx (Kilroy Was Here notwithstanding) but you just don't put a "Domo Arigato" show before Sammy Hagar in his prime. Not in Texas anyway. Maybe New York. Maybe.

Nope...I was there..at the Houston show anyway. Styx was the headliner for both shows.

the problem was that Styx came on after Sammy...and Sammy had just done Black Dog for an encore with Ted Nugent, Rik Emmitt and Sammy and his guitarist together on stage. It was such an awesome way to end his set, that there was nothing that Styx could do to top it.

Besides, most people had come to see Sammy, Nugent, Triumph, and i believe it was Uriah Heep..

most of the people had left by the halfway point of Styx's show.

ah, that was a great show..:)

He's a talentless hack who clearly deserved a good Bronx cheer. I guess I have a serious animus against these pop people "invented" by record label people and producers when real musicians who perform and write their own stuff are barely ecking a living. Those fans know a flash in the pan, here today, working in Blockbuster tomorrow has-been when they see him. Maybe this backlash against this crappy teen pop of the late 90's will put Brittney in Playboy because she needs the money. Would it be a sin to pray for that? :D

How about just getting Madonna off the air period? Music, television, movies...whatever. Just make her stop!

Not at all my friend. Not at all. You may not have to pray though. God is a man after all, he might make it happen himself!

    really?

did you know she's got this weird thing about having people take photographs of the side of her face?
its as if she only looks good when she's facing the camera.

either way she can be the hottest woman in the world and i'd still hate her like manny hates j-lo.

Seriously, If I was in a 100 foot radius of JT I think I would bite his face just for the sake of disfigurement. And I am a stones fan so he better think twice before he tries to party with the real deal holyfield again. And Keith, don't try to stare down forty thou again. All that black tar heroin makes you forget that forty thousand can kick on little guitar players arse.
