http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice/archives/2009/12/ok_daryl_morey.html Did you see the way he ran the floor and hit the open man and knocked down the three? He played defense and crashed the boards, too. Not once did he loaf or pout. That's the Tracy the Rockets traded for five years ago, and the Tracy that will help some lucky NBA team make a deep playoff run. Tracy looked so good that Morey probably had a fleeting thought that he should keep him and watch him take the Rockets to the playoffs. seriously justice? in 8 minutes, you saw all that?
Maybe this is meant as a joke because of all the people talking about how the team was only interested in showcasing TMac for a trade.
It was a very bad idea to "showcase" TMAC when he is so obviously far from ready. The last game just ruined all the possibilities of TMAC trades.
Yes this is a joke article. Anyways... stop feeding the trolls. Next time Justice writes something just don't read it, post it, talk about it, etc... pretend it never existed. If you ignore him he may go away.
So many people in a rush to make a decision on McGrady right away. Why not let him get back into shape and see if he can play the Rockets new style. He is a pretty good basketball player you know. He mgiht just help the team, regardless of the past.
Thinking about it, how does a team looking for a deep playoff run trade for T-Mac? He makes so much, that teams are going have to give up big pieces of their team to trade for him. That right there could easily kill team chemistry as they could be giving up key players that got them in a "deep playoff run" position. Only teams that would want T-Mac would be mainly for his contract. With that said, does it matter if they showcase him or not if teams that can actually trade for him only want Mac for his contract?
I'm with Justice when he says he wants to see what this team can do and that they are fun to watch. McGrady, no matter what anyone thinks, is not going to ever match the intensity of the other guys on the court. Sure, he might try harder than most of his career but I just don't see how all of this team's strengths can withstand having the anti-everything-these-Rockets-stand-for guy on the court.
Exactly. Nobody is going to add him without gutting their roster and no team looking to contend is going to do that. Regardless of what the media says, his value is the contract and that makes him valuable to rebuilding teams.
Justice should stay away from basketball journalism hell how about he stay away from Internet access ?
In truth, if McGrady wants to extend his career it'd be worth looking into a slower paced team. Not the faster paced team he's on that can put a toll on his body. He'd make sense in the half court when Yao gets back, the usual mode. Though its looking more like Adelman system>players.
