    I agree.

Coach will have his way or heads will roll. You can pretty much be sure of it.

    Worst thread ever.

Let's not forget that Memphis had a fantastic defensive game last night. They were able to shutdown pretty much the whole team and force multiple turnovers.

BTW, does Yao's ass taste good?

aaahhhhh . . the HOWL of a YAO only FAN

    I don't give a D*MN
I'd rather win 50 games with Steve and Yao both on the bench
than 40 with either of them being THE MAN!!

This is suppose to be a TEAM
    LOSE AS A TEAM
    WIN AS A TEAM

    Fegwu:

Yao isn't the most important person yet. Franchise is. he dictates the tempo of the game, he is the more complete player. Yao will grow into that role eventually, butback off the man. Right now, there shouldn't be any doubt that Stevie Franchise is da man in Houston.

    Rudy Ball?

I think it's called Yao is tired and can't get position.

    Offense falls apart from there.

Regardless of how bad the team played, they were still pretty close in the game. Well, until Lorenzen Wright went on a what, 10-point cruise that punctuated the comeback. I think JVG will be thinking of how to defend centers that can score away from the basket in games to come.

I didn't get to watch the game, so I'm not sure who's guarding Wright at the time. But IMHO I think neither Yao nor Cato is good at defending centers who can make some jumpers.

    Oh God...I love it..

    what a thread.

ZRB and ATrain providing voices of reason???

and Freak provides us with an all-time classic sig line..

Fegwu...telling it like it is huh??
dont you mean telling it like it aint? You gotta quit over-reacting to every game that you think your hero gets disrespected..
Cause as much as you may want it...he isnt good enough to carry this team on his back...not yet.

Until you can see the game clearly without the YAo-colored glasses...you have no right to claim to "tell it like it is"
I can be more impartial than you, and I see the team thru homer-colored glasses.

Which ones are more opaque I wonder??

the only people in this thread "telling it like it is" are codell, Dallas Rocket, hippieloser, and Sam Fisher..

I don't know...Like I said in the Bulls game thread, the GARM board has a case of bipolar disorder. This board is going to cause me insanity before the season is done. It's like a car wreck on the freeway, though...I just can't look away...

Your right EVERY game counts and that 1 loss could mean us outa the playoffs like last year remember?? JUST 1 GAME !!! man it suked. Ooo well but everygame counts. I wana ship Mobley outa houston for another scorer who unsterstands his role, or put mobley on the bench where he belongs. Hey he might b able to ever get 6th man on the year

actually, it's good we lost. we got slapped around and will be forced to respond. memphis played great- lots of intensity and desire. we deserved to lose as they were the better team that night. we've got 80 games to get better. i'm saying we will.

Things that went wrong in this game:

    1) Yao didn't demand the ball. Either he is tired or just doesn't want it. In the span of the entire game he made a pathetic attempt to position himself. I love Yao but he needs to play with more intensity

    2) Grizz front court was to quick for Yao and Cato. Just count the number of perimeter shots the grizzlies big men took. JVG should have recognized that they would be too fast for Cato and Yao. But can't blame that on JVG too much. If only Eddie was available.
I don't know how long playing 2 centers at the same time is gonna work.

    3) Game plan was garbage. In the final minutes of the game, our most efficient player, Yao, didn't get the ball (or ask for it). Rocks went into the 4th with a 5 point lead but memphis had too many points off our turnovers. Also our defense was sloppy in the end (talkin bout that posey cut to the basket).

Remember, people on this board DIDN'T want to trade Mobley when some stupid trade thread said we COULD trade him for Artest.

You didn't really expect "Stupidball" to die easy!? This is going to take some time. I believe that JVG is up to it. It make take some trades before the Break, but he is up to it. The weaknesses of some players will be especially exposed, but perhaps they can improve. If not, they will be moved. This is why JVG is here, he loves this stuff.

Reading responses from STUPID people like you just runs my stomach. Are you you trying to tell me that you are just as dumb as Francis and Mobley? Why can't you guys use your head? Can't you read either? Damn ......kids

My last input (before this one  ) was self explanatory. Every body in the league knows it. Even the Rockets annoucers kept hinting on this all night long. Even Bill went as far as somewhat saying something that is unethical for a commentator to say on live TV out of frustration. How dumb can people like you be? This is just ridiculous you lack 'common sense'.

Calm down, seriously. Everyone in the league also knows that Yao is not perfect, which is why they're able to shove him around, but you apparently don't.

Damn... and this is only after the second game. Fegwu, you're gonna have an ulcer by the end of the season. Maybe you shouldn't watch basketball, for the sake of your health.
