    How come Germany isn't in the Olympics? Was USA just playing them for fun during the exbit. round?

    I think they lost to italy in last year's qualification round or something.

    The European championship was also the qualification for this years Olympic games ......And those who finished 1,2,3 were those who qualified..

    1. Lithuania
    2.Spain
    3: Italy

    Germany did play awfully at the EC, because we had a horrible coach and Dirk wasn't really fit. They also had a lot of bad luck. They lost to Lithuania and Italy. Lithuania won the tournament and Italy got the 3rd place if I recall correctly.
