This may sound stupid, but I was just wondering what you guys think cuttino's value is now. I not saying we should trade him, but i was thinking what do you think he's worth? 1st rounder, lottery, or 2nd round pick.

well.. he might be worth steve francis.. if he was to be traded.. i could see francis falling him in a few years to whatever team.. they can't even give an interview without talking about each other so i could see francis leaving to play with mobes again..

Rick boy, Cuttino is worth what he was drafted at, and that's not much.

Yeah, there are a lot of 2nd rounders averaging 20 points a game. [IMG]

Cuttino is the starting shooting guard for a team that nearly made the playoffs, and after he became a starter he led the team in scoring, iirc. Not many draft picks amount to that, see Michael Olowokandi, Kenyon Martin, et al. Not to mention the fact that he has signed a very cap friendly contract. One that tends to make for good negotiating with other players.

Shandon: I want 6 mill per year.

CD: You think you should make 1.5 times what Cat makes?

Shandon: Gee, I guess not, give me the early bird then.

Don't you guys love trolls this time of year? They add a little SPICE to the offseason. [IMG]

BTW--if any GM knew he could grab somebody that is a 20 pt. scorer against NBA-caliber defenses, you bet he'd be willing to give up an AWFUL lot.

Mobley scores 1.2689 points per FGA. Allen Iverson, 1.2179. That might put into perspective about how much Mobley is worth.

I believe his trade value is equal to a Bibby or a Jalen Rose. He might be worth a little more because of his relatively low contract. Definitely worth a top five pick and another first rounder.

Mobley will not be traded, but if he were, his value would be a top 4 pick in this year's draft. He is not going anywhere, and his upside just gets better.

The zone defense cannot adequately guard TWO serious penetrators on the perimeter, especially if they have good three point shooters they can kick the ball to, and they can both step back and nail the trey.

Cat and Steve will continue to be the backcourt tandem that wreaks havoc on opposing teams.

No other team has that kind of 1-2 threat playing 40 minutes a game. This team has to address the needs at 3 and 5. We are set at the guards. We need better, taller, more athletic defensive players in the front court. We only have one player in the entire front court who plays well on both ends, and that is the Dream. We have no one who plays defense well at the four, and only Anderson who plays good defense at the three.

Tall, athletic, shot blocker/rebounders who can run the floor are what we need most.
