Did anyone else attend this Sunday night? I had a great time. I was still too young for heavy metal concerts when Halford left the band, so I was pumped for the chance to see the classic lineup together.
I saw Halford open for Iron Maiden 3 or 4 years ago, and he could still hit EVERY single note. The guy was amazing.
Last show I caught was "Defenders of the Faith" tour in Houston at The Summit. That was before he was "out". That was a great show. Then, I grew up and left Judas Priest behind. Then, all that stuff went down. I'm glad they got back together and resumed where they left off.
I got a chance to meet Rob and his band, Fight, at a Sony party about 10 years ago. It was great. We got to eat and drink with the band, meet a couple of his kids and I got his autograph on a Judas Priest LP and Fight CD. Rob was really down to earth. He talked with me and a buddy of mine for a few minutes before he had to leave for the show we were going to. Good times.
I saw Rob on the same tour thatFreak mentioned... one night...three awesome singers...Maiden, Halford and Queensryche..he was spoton all night...not bad for a old focker. I regret to say that I missed the show this weekend ...anniversary vacation with the wife... oh well...I really hope they come back around again...I havent seen JP in their entirety since the Painkiller tour...
