I'll wait til she puts out her first original album. A good voice only makes half an artist.

Jesus, you totally misunderstood what I meant. By original I meant an album of songs she has written. Her current album is all cover songs. Damn, calm down and untwist your panties.

Dude, I'm so calm and chilled, that I've reached the end of the spectrum and somehow ended up on the opposite extreme. Wrap your mind around that.

Also, I'm pretty sure I was the first one to post something on Joss Stone, so I don't have anything against her.

Ella Fitzgerald and Billy Holliday never wrote their own songs, and I thought they were pretty good.

i just think it's weird that she is covering a song that still gets radio play: The White Stripes "fell in love with a girl"

of course she uses dramatic license and "fell in love with a boy....but it bears repeating.....nahnahnahnahaaaah"

If you think that's weird, you should hear Dave Edmunds' version of "Da Doo Ron Ron." He's so obsessed with making note-perfect covers that he doesn't even change the sex in the song.

I always the Beatles' gender-crossing covers from the early days that they had to change the boy/man to girl/woman, or vice versa.

    Or the opposite.

    Or, whatever.

    CLASSIC!

    Goose-bumps, just thinking about it.

Strangely, I also feel like throwing back an Orange Julius or two.

you are thinking of "I think we're alone now"

a cover of a 1967 "Tommy James & The Shondells" tune of the same name.

however, if you haven't heard The Beatles "I saw her standing there" then you must live under a rock.....

    or in switzerland
    ;)

Thanks, I only have the version of "Lene Lovich" at home, which is a great version (came out '77 or '78). Have to check out the original version of "Tommy James & .......".

hey I lived under a rock in Switzerland and suddenly I saw her standing there,..............but she just met the Beatles and therefore had to switch to Tiffany.
