Jonathan Feigen @Jonathan_Feigen Smith will sign for one season, at a pro-rated portion of the bi-annual exception of $2.077 million, source said. What does it mean? he stays the 2014-2015? What happen with the 2015-2016 and the 2016-2017 gurantee by the pistons?
these types of moves brings the old timers with minimal posts out.:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:
So lemme get this straight...Mavs overpaid Parsons, traded for rondo that doesn't fit the team and we got ariza, brewer, and Smith for next to nothing lol
Sweet....hopefully here in time for a practice before the MEM game. I can't wait to open our new gift from Detroit. All that remains is a move for Dragic and we're all set to make a run for the next few years.
I have mixed feelings about this... On the one hand, I'm getting the feeling that Josh Smith will immediately get the start next to Dwight. The defense and length of those two is going elite. Likely the best interior defense in the league as long as both stay out of foul trouble. On the other hand DMo was on the verge of having a breakout season. Additionally, Josh Smith doesn't give us any additional spacing despite the fact that he does roam around the 3 point line. And something just doesn't sit right with me knowing that the Pistons are paying 20+ million just to get rid of him. But let's hope for the best. Bev, Ariza, Smith, Dwight. That's alone should put us in the top 1 or 2 NBA defenses.
