i accepted my first real job today. i'm going to be a consultant at a life sciences consulting firm in cambridge, MA. i chose this so i can still root for the red sox and be close to my girlfriend. also my long term goal is to work with the biotech/pharma industry so it will be a good learning experience as well. anyway, i'm pretty excited. just wanted to share that. so if you have any tips on the first day or anything about consulting please share. oh and apartment hunting too.
And to add to that, if anybody has part time work in the DAllas area, I'll gladly stuff envelopes or answer phones Congrats, The work force, she is not fun.
"You have to interview with this consultant. They call them efficiency experts ... but what you're REALLY doing is interviewing for your own job! "
congrats My advice on being a good consultant is to be professional at all times. Always try to look at solutions from the client's point of view before acting.
Okay, how about this golden nugget of information: Make sure to NOT lean back in your chair and tip over while you're consulting the classifieds.
