Edwards was money as usual. But I really wish he would cut this “Two Americas” nonsense. It’s not black and white as he makes it out to be and he seems to be forgetting about the middle class that by his definition would fit in both Americas.

And besides America will always be divided into different “classes” based on income… That’s just the way things are and things will always be.

Clinton, Obama and Edwards – Can the republicans really match these guys?

Sing along everyone “You can feel it all over, you can feel it all over ”

I do think he forgot about that promise that he made to me, but otherwise he was brilliant!

It's sure easy to talk about how bad people have it when you're worth millions.

Wait, is it bad that he came from working class roots, to become the first person in his family to go to college and become a self made millionaire?

It's true that he didn't have the priviledged background that our current president did, but his roots are still in a group of people who did have a tough struggle. He just made it up from that to become wealthy. It's a great story.

Nope, he prefers people born with a silver spoon in their mouth who then grow up to act like their normal folk rather than those who actually did come from modest roots and made something of themselves.

Exactly why he teamed with Kerry...It's a great story to see people without "priviledges" become people with a "priviledged life",...Hopefully this wouldn't discount Edward's children from setting their own accord and pursuits in life sans the issue of a "priviledged" upbringing on account of making their own accomplishments realized the way Bush was able to...and the liberal God forbid if Edward's children stand so strongly for values, leadership, and morality in being a leader...

I have to say I now understand while reasonable people in juries in the hands of trial lawyers will agree to massive settlements against even their own better judgement.

    That man is SLICK.

I don't think Clinton was joking when he said "he kinda resented him."

I can't wait to see the VP debate.

What's funny and yet sad about this whole issue is that most people forget that Cheney and Rumsfeld in their tenures of Secretary Defense have overseen and advocated cut backs and elimination of many of those weapons systems. Prior to 9/11 Rumsfeld was almost at war against the Pentagon over eliminating some of the same weapons systems that were needed in Iraq.

I don't really get where you're going with that, Faos; isn't it easier to forget how bad people have it when you're worth millions? Are people with money are categorically not credible when acknowledging a responsibility toward those who have not met with the same success? You lost me there.

That being said, I did not like Edwards tonight, I thought he was a little over-rehearsed and looked more plastic than he usually does. I like what he said about the issue of race, though.

I have been waiting for a candidate on the democratic to give a moving speech since 2000. Debates, too. So far, Gore, Leiberman and Edwards have not pressed my button. Come on Kerry, show me something.

    Not holding my breath,

That would be great if Clinton, Obama or Edwards were running for President. Problem is most people aren't voting on teh party but the President, so it all comes down to Bush vs. Kerry and to a lesser degree Cheney vs. Edwards.

It may be the exact thing that Al Gore feared in the last election, just the presence of Clinton may be bigger than Kerry himself.

I think people are going to be quite surprised tonight with Kerry's speech.

    Here's hoping!

I like John Edwards, and I liked his speech last night.

If he were running for President, my decision would already be made.
