Dorsey isn't undersized. He's 260 lbs of muscle and has a 7'2" wingspan. Its not about how tall you are, its about how high you can reach. Dude is going to be our defensive stopper/pure energy. Think a more athletic, less polished Paul Milsap.
Why isn't he a center? What center is he not going to be able to guard? He's strong, athletic, and a good rebounder and shotblocker. With that said, his freethrows are terrible and he gets into foul trouble, but he's not going to be playing many minutes anyway. He probably is a little redundant with Hayes, since Chuck can and has gotten away with guarding centers in the past, but Dorsey has more length and athleticism than Chuck, and he will give us more flexibility against different teams.
Banger inside with a good FG %, but shoots FTs like Ben Wallace/Shaq. I think he'll be a 12th man/NBDL/going to get cut player.
Dorsey is a straight up bruiser. I've followed his play for a couple years, and he's a beast. We've always wanted an enforcer down low, and this guy can be just that. I'm ok with the pick. The Rockets also got one of the wing players I wanted in Donte Greene. The other wings I wanted were CDR, Rush, and Batum. Athletic scorer with size who can shoot the ball. He should fit in great with Adelman's offense. I think it was a great draft on paper for the Rockets. I fear Landry may be gone in a bigger deal to acquire a legit point guard.
