Its on ESPN's draft blog... http://myespn.go.com/nba/truehoop "Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress reports: "I was just informed by the Trailblazers that Nicolas Batum was traded by Houston to Portland in exchange for the rights to Darrell Arthur and one of Portland's early second round picks." Chad Ford confirms he has heard the same thing, and the second-round pick that is in the deal is the 33rd, which was Memphis big man Joey Dorsey."
Maybe the phoneline had a lot of static and the Portland GM heard Memphis ******** and thought it meant Dorsey instead of CDR??
Rockets reportedly haven't come out of their war room since the batum trade spec. They're either hiding or trading him to somewhere else?
It better be. Arthur is solid but Dorsey, eh. I can't believe we passed on CDR. I'm guessing Morey might use the two as a package for a 3rd scoreer?
well yao said we needed to get bigger..and i rather get a big man in the draft off the bench and a proven scorer in free agency or via trade so we can win now..so calm down the season doesnt start tomorrow
Hmmmm, interesting. I smell a trade, after that weird stuff that went on right as we were picking.......
i dont see how this MAKES US BETTER Arthur is 6'8 1/2 215lbs Dorsey is 6'7 265lbs i can see that it helps us athletically, and dorsey is a monster on the boards and can really defend the paint, but they dont really add another dimension to our game that we need. we didnt improve our scoring and we didnt take any pressure off mcgrady and we didnt solidify our backup PG spot. this makes no sense at all. landry is 6'8 with a 6 inch forehead. scola is a tad undersized, and harris and hayes are like 6'5 each.
you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that atleast one of our PF's won't be here after the trade deadline next year.
