If we somehow did do that trade, we'd be doing Atlanta a favor. He's not worth the contract they gave him and they'll be handcuffed for the next 5 years and unable to do anything to make themselves competitive. If they traded him for spare parts, they could get another chance at using their money for someone worth his salary -- though of course they'd blow it again. That said, there's no way I want a maxed-out Joe Johnson on my team.
well maybe youre right...its fantasy. And i just found out our 39 goes to the bucks. So how bout the 8th pick? Sura alston swift 8 for johnson is it still fantasy?
JJ would be great here. ATL wont contend period becasue ownership doesnt want to contend. They are cheap sans JJ on purpose. Billy Knight has to make moves on a small specific budget because he is told to do so. On this team he would be a GREAT 3rd option. We need to do something good instead of looking at old decreped players to save the team. I dont know where this mentality came from but its one of the things that has kept this team down.
I agree Joe Johnson would be a great third-option here. But, not at the money he makes. He's paid like a first-option. And, if we're going to have a third first-option, let's set our dreamcasting on someone who is more worth that money he makes.
^^^ Yea - like this one... Outgoing Juwan Howard Rafer Alston Bob Sura Ryan Bowen Incoming Ray Allen Luke Ridnour And to sweeten the pot even more..... the 32nd pick!
Agreed the original proposal was ridiculous, and probably anything we offer beyond tmac and yao from this team. Its unrealistic at best, but a nice thought
joe johnson left the suns when they had a peek at the ring. he's now making 20mil, playing like kobe, and u want to dig him out with a broken shovel. right.
