Well for one because STUPIDER is not a word. You mean like jacking up an off balance 20 footer with the team up by one late, like Tmac did last night? And Manu's 27.6 mpg are the fourth most on the Spurs team He was moved to the bench to provide some scoring off the bench for San Antonio, you know sort of like Cousy was with the old Celtics. So, you never answered the question, which are you, dumb or stupid? DD
Where'd you get 33mpg. He's never averaged over 30. He's playing 27 this year. But I guess that's because Popovich is keeping him fresh for the playoffs. haha
See...that is why Popovich is a better coach than JVG, he knows that the playoffs are when you increase their minutes, not the regular season. DD
This board lives and dies off of one game. Here's just some of the things I've read on here after one game: - Fire JVG - Play V-Span - Cut JL3 - More minutes for JL3 - The Rockets are not contenders - The Rockets will win the championship - The Rockets have too many scrubs to win a championship
Yep, passionate fans who care about their team. Which is exactly why this board is here....THANKS AGAIN CLUTCH !! DD
Great to see JL3 play so well last night. It bodes well for the playoffs. Next year though expect VSpan to get major minutes.
btw: Ginobody's playoff mpg ave is still 30mpg, not 33mpg. Every coach increases minutes of their players in the playoffs, not just Popovich. JVG has actually substantianlly lowered McGrady's minutes this regular season. Do you guys just talk **** without knowing the stats or what? talk about stupider.
Popovich’s minute distribution to his stars as well as his role players is well under what JVG is doing for Tmac, SB, and even Alston. Further, the drop-off when Manu is not in the lineup (+/- production, PER, Roland ranking, etc) is far bigger than the drop-off the Rockets face when anyone not name Yao or Tracy leave the floor (in fact Manu's production per minute is ahead by a nod of Tmac and Duncan). The stats are crystal clear and suggest a very different philosophy to managing their core players’ minutes and using the bench. You should know what you are talking about before accusing others of talking stupider Now you can go babble how well the Spurs core is veteran and doesn’t need the PT together like ours, or try to make a claim it is because the Spurs have a better bench (but if they are so much better why is the TD and Manu, but you can’t argue that they have vastly different distribution of minutes among their core players, these statistics don’t lie.
