Even with their QB situation, the 49ers should have won two more games and hosted a wild-card playoff contest. The next 2 seasons, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say their QB situation will improve considerably, which will give them the chance to win the NFC West both years. The 49ers had some talent issues, but Singletary was a sorry coach. Won't be hard to improve upon him.
I wouldn't say he was a sorry coach , but losing frank gore and the Smith Crisis was a nail in the coffin. They should of beat the Saints , infact , they had them beat. A solid veteran and a healthy frank gore should have them at 8-8 next year, maybe.
