Notice how Rose's score as an asterisk (*) by his name? It's b/c BAM does not have complete data on his measurements. Therefore, I left it out since you are such a big fan of accuracy and reliability.

It is NOT pointless. Tens of millions, sometimes HUNDREDS of millions of dollars are being invested in these athletes. Season ticket holders pay astronomical sums to watch them play.

You BET they all want their money's worth.

When you buy a home, is a thorough inspection "pointless?" Obviously not, since you're going to be living there and spending a lot of money to do so.

See the asterisk? It looks like this *.

Either way, Wall and Irving are superior athletes per your source. Thanks for the support bro!

Lin does not need to be a freak athlete for season ticket holders to watch games though. I thought we were trying to prove that Lin's max vert is comparable to Russ. Aside from a photo (and you eye test) you say provides factual evidence to support your claim, there isn't any reliable numbers to state what Lin's max vert is. That still hasn't been proven reliably (ie. not using a photo). If you can't find the actual numbers to back up your perception then that is fine. But there comes a point where you have to accept that your perception (the photo) does not equal reality (test numbers) because nobody knows what the reality is.

He doesn't but he is. And yes, brook and lin have identical verts.

Photos are reliable because you see Lin dunking and his head 7" or 8" below the rim. Apparently you don't see very well, and don't understand how to measure, which has become abundantly clear.

But yes, I would like to see a "test" and "measurement" but we know already that he has a minimum, extremely conservatively estimated vertical of 35." And common sense dictates it is closer to 37." As of last season prior to another systematic offseason of training at spartascience.

Your assuming though that Russ hasn't gotten better as well or Wall. Why is it that only Lin can get better but everyone else stays the same? Your argument has so many holes in it. You stare at a picture and you no conclusively that Lin's head is 7" or 8" below the rim. All your doing is guessing, that doesn't make it reality.

Like I am not denying that Lin got better because he most definitely did. But Russ and Wall likely got better too. And those charts say nothing about max vert. Nobody knows what Lin's max vert is. And extrapolating a number from an image is silly. Lin himself has said he is not a freak athlete. Why are we arguing against his own words? This is madness.

I am a bb player with out-of-this-world athletic skills, therefore I am a great bb player.

    Signed,

    Strowmile Swift. :p

Seriously guys, Lin is a very good bb player. While great athleticism helps, it doesn't mean much if you have a very low bb IQ.

:) I was reading all the post and was getting dizzy of the back and forth. Everyone has a point. I thought this would make a good break...a breather. That's all.
