It's fatigue. Free throws are all about upper body strength. He's running on adrenaline most of the game for play 38 mins per night. When adrenaline and fatigue mixes, your muscles tend to betray you. He usually adjusts on the second one. As he gets stronger and used to the mins, he'll adjust. He's actually a really great free throw shooter under normal circumstances.
NBA HYPE MACHINE DOING WORK THIS YEAR!!! They have push this guy so hard for only 1 month and people are making threads about him lol
lin is playing with off the charts confidence. an off the dribble 3 with dirk right in his face and he swishes it? this is crazy stuff. since no one has ever gone through their entire career without something bad happening or questioning themselves, it'll be weird to see what he does when he's not on top of the world. i'll say this, he seems to have the absolute perfect personality to handle all this. it seems to fuel him and not scare him and he's just feeding off of it to an incredible degree. it's just a perfect storm of everything going right. melo coming back is going to be really weird. how much rope will melo get from the fans if he has a bad game and lin is only getting 1/2 or 2/3 of his usual touches?
