Uh, Blue, how many "Kelvin Cato will explode next season" type of quotes do you think could be found. A lot. What does 1 Webber quote have to do with anything. I assure you, if it was a 2 on 2 game, and C-Webb was choosing sides, Francis would be picked before Williams.

I'll use 4chuckie's numbers of Chise-J-Will to compare Moochie to J-Will, I'll add a few more categories-
Bold is a Moochie win category, Italics are a Jason Williams win category.
    Moochie J-W
    2001 TO/MIN .065 .070
    2001 Ast/Min .171 .182
    2001 AST/TO 2.22 2.6
    2001 MPG 20.2 29.7
    Career TO/Min .066 .087
    Career Ast/Min .178 .190
    Career AST/TO 2.68 2.17
    Career MPG 18.1 33.0

It's a tie...how would Williams going to get 30 minutes with us? Answer: He wouldn't. If Rudy was considering moving Steve to starting offguard, he would've tried it already. Why would you move Cat to the bench for Jason Williams?

*Career Playoff numbers for Jason Williams*
    TO/Min .084
    Ast/Min .110
    Ast/TO 1.31
    MPG 27.7
