Dude, chill. If you don't like the OP's thread move along to Scalabrine ones. You might find your quote as someone's sig if Morey does pull off getting Lebron. If anyone can do something this crazy, it would be Morey.

He wouldn't have to take less pay if he was willing to come via S&T.

I've been harping on this for quite a while, glad to see other people finally realizing it.

Bosh isn't that big an upgrade to Scola+whatever else we have to pay, esp. considering we're gonna be paying the max for him. LBJ on the other hand is worth gutting the team for.

A lot of Rocket fans are going to end up heartbroken when we get zero big names and a above average role player at best.

The best part of LeBron coming to Houston? Watching Donnie Walsh's head explode.

Actually Yao, Scola and Landry are three above average role players we'll be getting this offseason if we don't sign anyone else. The lottery pick and an improved Jordan Hill looks pretty good too. LBJ would really be better though

If the Cavs get knocked out of the playoffs before reaching the finals, this discussion could get a lot more interesting. Cleveland's steam rolling through Chicago, but if a second round upset happens (or even conference finals), Lebron will have to start questioning whether or not that supporting cast can get him to the championship level. If he doesn't believe that they can, he could start to look elsewhere.

The current Rockets team even without Yao Ming is a championship quality group of role players waiting for someone to lead them. I think a healthy Yao can be that guy, but with Lebron leading the way and Yao playing second star, there would be little doubt about who the favorites to win the championship would be. But again, this all hinges on the Cavs getting knocked out of the playoffs sooner rather than later.

Only if we can somehow get it done without losing our team MVP.

You know who I'm talking about.

This would be an awesome pickup, Jerome James can still ball.

Hmmm no i don't want James because it means we will have to give up AB and Scola who are superstars.

Breaking News! LeBron James has decided to force the Cavs to sign and trade him to the Rockets!

When asked by local reporters why he made that decision, he simply stated, " I want to win a ring for Ming! "

Same here. We share the same alma mater so I liked MJ loooong before he was even a Rocket for the first time. Needless to say, when his second stint crashed and burned I was rather bummed. Hell, the entire 07-08 season was such an emotional roller-coaster for me. I had high such expectations given that my four favorite basketball players were all on one team (Yao, McGrady, Francis, MJ) and was excited to turn the page on the stale JVG era.

The season progressed, we got better, Scola's big emergence happened, the big win steak....things are looking good. Then you know the rest: Yao breaks his foot for the 14th time, we draw the Jazz again, Kirilenko flops into the 4th row, we're done in six. Francis? Done. MJ? Gone.

Oh well, life goes on. I'm with ya that I still love the guy. It's just hearing his name mentioned kind of brings back painful memories.

P.S. "After two games, what is a Mikes James hater to do?" ;)

P.S.S. I drank the kool-aid too. I pretty much guaranteed a Jason Terry-like season for him that year.
