I remember a time when I was geeked to watch a new Bond film. Not so much anymore. Ever since Craig became bond they have sucked all the fun out of the franchise; these cats take themselves too seriously. No gadgets, no Martinis, no charm. The set pieces are awesome but there is no fun anymore.

I'm more excited for the new Mission Impossible movie.

Looks more like Eyes Wide Shut than a Bond movie.

What the heck? I thought we had a black Bond in this new film. I was expecting Chris Rock or at least Kevin Hart to play the lead role. It's 2015 already. No reason for backwards Jim Crow type thinking to pervade society and the movies.

They've been going away from gadgets since Craig has been Bond, iirc. I don't remember CR having many gadgets, (don't remember QoS at all) and Skyfall didn't have much either. The title sequence and song are part of the movie's charm! Live a little!

I'm a fan of the Bond movies being darker / grittier. There's more character development, and the actors are allowed to act instead of most of the focus on the gadgets, cars, etc.

Though I will say, that car in the teaser makes me hot and bothered. No idea the make and model, but...hnnnnng

The poster above me is certainly not a Roger Moore fan.

Been kinda bored by these past 2 ultra-serious Bond movies, but will give it a watch anyways.

I agree 100%. They need to recapture the vibe of the Sean Connery's Bond movies.

Agreed! Bond was getting too cheesy.

Meh. Casino Royale was awesome but the two since then have been... below par.

I thought Skyfall was excellent. The opening action sequence was one of the best I've seen in a Bond film, and I've seen them all. The opening intro and song were terrific. Craig is the best Bond since Connery. I'm a happy camper.

James Bond had become a caricature of himself. In the movies, he was cartoonishly intelligent, physically superhuman and famous the world over. He was no longer a human being. (""You cant just kill James Bond and sit around waiting for the cops to arrive,we've gotta get these diamonds outa here and fast !!" - from Diamonds Are Forever). Actually, Diamonds are Forever, as much as I aspects of it, has to take the blame for the start of the downturn for Bond. That is when they started getting silly about Bond as a superhuman persona.

Watch Dr. No and From Russia with Love, then watch Moonraker and Skyfall and tell me which is more true to the original films.

Also, Roger Moore was at least a decade too old. It was painful watching a 60 year old man try and athletically sprint up stairs (he looked like he was going to keel over halfway up), and uncomfortably child-molester-y to see a 18 year old girl hit on someone who could be her grandfather, both of which occurred in For Your Eyes Only. He also did a bunch of running around in Octopussy. There are honestly a couple of scenes where he sprints 20 feet and I'm worried he's so out of breath that he's going to keel over. They usually cut away from those runs pretty quickly, presumably to give Grampa Moore time to catch his breath before he has to utter a line.

    New trailer that aired recently.

FWIW, much of the early footage was the same from the first trailer already posted to start the thread, but some new footage appears at the end of this trailer.
