It's been sometime since I last posted....As you can see my subject matter is on Chicago's Crawford.

6-5 195lbs PG/SG solid range, handling, PASSING, and still young plus he seems like a team player.

Basically he's taller, younger, better passer, much less individualistic than Cuttino Mobley will EVER be full-stop

If the Bulls organization so values JWILL, could the Rox take a good SOLID* crack at JC (We'd probably lose Cuttino thereby dismantling THE BEST BACKCOURT IN THE LEAGUE....yeah right)

This is my personal opinion.....hope it's yours too.

*SOLID = Doing much better than the lazy ass job we did on persuading coach Brown.

The Bulls said that Jamal Crawford is an Untouchable player! They will not trade him, unless its for a superstar or something.

And right now, from what I've read, They are shopping J Will.

Crawford and 2003 2nd rd pick
    for
    Mobley

I think both teams would agree to that trade, they should at least. Its even IMO.

The only problem is that Jamal is a better PG than Stevie, and Stevie is a better SG than Jamal.

Well, Cuttino certainly thinks he's a superstar.

LOL!Cuttino reminds me of Jalen Rose, so I wouldn't think they want another Jalen Rose unless they traded him away.

We might need Cat Mobley to go to the Clippers as part of our BIG Trade. If this goes down we need to think of another way for Crawford.

I've done a good bit of browsing at the RealGM Bulls board for the purpose of acquiring Crawford. People are much more interested in parting with Jay Williams, although about half would rather keep him to play with Crawford. At any rate, no one wants to give up Jamal unless as part of a multiplayer trade to land a superstar. For all practical purposes, I'd say Crawford's not available.

They're about even if you ask me, with Cat being a better shooter/scorer and Crawford being a better passer. But this may be because Crawford isn't as confident with his shot, which could change.

IMO, Cat isn't really the problem, it's his minutes. We need a QUALITY backup 2 that sits Cat's ass down for 10 to 20 a game! But I don't want to get rid of him at all. Believe it, we need him like we need Cato. He's always healthy, works his ass off in the offseason, and gets to the rack with ease. Let's just let him share the wealth(playing the 2) with another QUALITY 2 i.e.: Lucious Harris, Jon Barry, or Posey( Nachbar needs minutes to be comfortable). Maybe our next coach will realize this and cut his minutes to where he's not forcing so many shots because he's tired.

Personally I don't see why everyone is so enamored with Crawford. He has only had one year where he's played more than 25 games, and even then, as much of a passer as he may be, he didn't amaze in that category either. The potential is there, but regardless of whether or not Cuttino thinks he is a superstar, he is a damn good player. A little tweaking in terms of shot & play selection, and he would be a very good SG with a awesome contract. Too much risk for me.

I think Cat will flourish under JVG. Cat needs some basketball discipline that he never seemed to get under Rudy's tutelage. Rudy's style was acclimated to veterans that already knew their respective roles. I dont think we NEED to trade for a taller point guard, so that Steve can move to the 2, however Id trade Cuttino for Jamal straight up. In all likelihood though, the trade wont happen and we'll hopefully see a dramatic improvement in Cat's playmaking skills. Cat started at point for us his rookie season, don't think he can't and won't move back this season. Allan Houston and Latrell Sprewell excelled under his term with the Knicks both offensively and defensively. Even more impressive is the fact that the newswriters in New York talk about Allan's questionable love, perhaps even liking, of the game. Cuttino LOVES basketball and it shows with his work ethic. Give him the benefit of the doubt, he'll come around ;)

thats odd, because the bulls are trying to trade for shane battier...the rumor is fizer and a future draft pick...why would they want battier of all people if not to reunite him with jwill?

    Two words: leadership. Unselfishness.

Battier is exactly what the Bulls need in a small forward and a team leader (even if he isn't a seasoned vet, he carries himself and acts like one), and it would have nothing to do with reuniting him with Jay Williams.

That said, Crawford is overrated. He tore his ACL, robbing him of some athleticism, and has only played a few good games. Plus, why would the Rockets need another point guard with Francis playing that position (despite the feeling that he may be better suited at SG, he's still the team's PG)?

I'm not sure I understand that one.

Chicago will use Jamal Crawford as trade bait, but the catch is that he will come with Eddie Robinson's hefty, long contract.

No they will not. They have said that he is one of the four players that are almost untouchable at the moment (unless they get a superstar in return). The others are Curry, Chandler and Rose.
So they are more willing to trade J. Williams than Crawford.

Is Rose really untouchable? I thought he was available because of his huge contract. I thought Rose was more available than J Will.

I think people like Crawford mainly after the way he finished up the last two months of the season.

    In March (14 games), he averaged 31.4 mpg, 15.9 ppg, 6.7 apg, 2.9 rpg, 1.29 spg, .21 bpg, and shot .455 fg% with .443 3pt%.

    In April (8 games), he averaged 37 mpg, 23 ppg, 6.5 apg, 4.3 rpg, 1 spg, .5 bpg, and shot .466 fg% with .360 3pt%.
