RealGM is reporting that the knicks waived him. With Bonzi on this team, Jalen seems redundant, but hey, jvg does like ex knicks. That way we could start four small forwards and yao.

    starting lineup:

    Rose
    Wells
    McGrady
    Battier
    Yao

Jalen is horrible on defense so I doubt JVG picks him up. But he can play PG and the Rockets need some depth off the bench.

rose can play point but he can't guard them, or anyone. you're right that JVG probably won't pick him up. he is an ex knick, and old, so you know he's thinking about it. :D

besides, there is no real PT for him here either. other teams like the nuggest, warriors, pacers, heat, bucks, nets, 6ers, sonics, and wiz could all use a swingman.

why not just sign him for the vet's minimum? He's already making lots of money this season I'm sure he won't mind.

I never said he was better than alston, I just thought that would be a funny lineup (and really tall too). I don't think we'll even try to get him, but we do need help at backup pg so you never know... can always use another hungry vet... and he could be insurance for our insurance (if you consider wells insurance for mcgrady even though wells also is somewhat injury proned).

He suckss. I would rather give our new players more playing time to learn and develop than Jalen Rose.

God, who didn't see this thread coming as soon as the Knicks waved Rose?

Though honestly, if JVG still isn't happy with our backup PG situation, I could see him realistically lobbying to get Rose. Rose could play next to Luther in the 2nd unit and defend opposing 2s. Also, he's not quite the knucklehead he used to be and seems pretty likable now.

Still, I highly doubt it happens.

I know it's too much to ask that we NOT start a discussion thread on every has been that gets wavied and how they might impact the ROckets.

I think there should be a rule on here that any person posting this silliness at THE VERY LEAST - tell us who you would cut to make room for the player

oh yeah, and don't we have enough fab-five stink on this team

JVG doesn't want any knuckleheads on this team, so I don't think Rose qualifies, or piques interest.

I heard Nuggets04 talking about it as well. It would not suprise me but i wonder how he and george karl would get along. Denver has enough egos to stroke as is.
