Okay, I’m 38 years old, I’m live a pretty good life, have lots of friends and family that I love, and have what I think is a reasonably refined sense of humor… So why is it that I still laugh my ass off while watching re-runs of Jackass? And the two movies? Forget about it. I have both of them on DVD. Is that wrong?
Nothing wrong with that at all. I'm looking forward to the new jackass movie that's coming out, not sure when its out though. If you like Jackass try and get your hands on a copy of the Dirty Sanchez movie, its like Jackass but its a whole vile new level!

I like the stunts... I don't like the strange latent homosexuality in a some of their stuff and the gross-out things done by Steve-O. I'd prefer not to see poop and vomit.
Jackass is completely and utterly funny. I have all the complete series on DVD, as well as the movies. It's always good senseless fun, and I'll watch them anytime. Wildboyz is not nearly as funny to me. You'd have to convince me to watch any of those shows. Certain bits are definitely funny, but overall, the show didn't impress me.
People hurting themselves and doing gross stuff has been a staple of comedy since it's inception. Do not feel embarrassed, especially with Jackass. It'd be different if the guys doing it weren't so amused the entire time, but they are. Johnny Knoxville's laughs of pain crack me up every time.
Its funny because its amusing to watch. America loves violence and gross humor. Think of Jackass as "progressive slapstick"
Yeah, I like the pranks better than the gross out stuff too, although I laughed my ass off when the guy stuck a Hot Wheel up his ass and went to get an X-ray. My favorite stunt in Jackass history is the toy car up the ass. It has lost its juice, but the first time I heard the doctor tell his nurse while examining the x-rays that the guys are f*gs, I was laughing so hard I started crying. My second favorite stunt is rent-a-car derby. Knoxville running away with the blow up dolls yelling F U...classic. My third favorite stunt is when one guy attempted to take a dump in a model toilet at Home Depot but he ended up crapping in his pants in the car and everyone in the car threw up.

How is what they do not funny? The only people that don't think its funny are the snobs that think they are better than everyone because they don't watch it.
What can I say? I guess it's not my cup of tea. I might find 1 out of 10 funny, but mostly I just lose interest and change half way through. I haven't seen the car up his ass bit though, I'm curious to watch it. BTW, I went to a party they hosted on South Beach (Mansion) for the opening of the movie.
