If the Rockets are going to be serious tittle contenders this has to be the season. This is what needs to happen
    1. The #1 seed in the West
    2. T-Mac wins the MVP
    3. Yao Ming plays 35-38 minutes a game
    4. Rockets become media favorites like Pheonix became last year
    5. All this can happen we still might night win it all, but it will be a spring board for the next 5 years.
    Lets go Rox

You forgot about Stromile Swift. He has to have a break out year. Great blocker, running the floor and dunking on every one on the other end especially Dirk. That would be great!

I would put Bob Sura coming back strong and healthy at the top of that list.

That would make this team unbelievably stacked and solid.

Yeah, but what if Alston is doing so good that he takes most of the minutes. What position will he (Sura) play? SF or SG? We just need his rebounds and toughness.

i'd say the only one of those that has to happen for us to win it all is yao playing significant minutes.

t-mac doesn't have to win mvp, he just needs to play like one, which he will.
the rockets don't have to be the # 1 seed.
being media darlings has nothing to do with winning a championship.

Jmejia, I have a tough time with that one. But it will be a good problem to have. I am sure JVG will find him enough minutes at the right time with the right lineup to get the most out of him. Though if I had to sort it out myself I would have Sura eat into Wesley and Bowen's backup minutes. Like you say, his toughness and rebounds will give this team another unique look.

It's always been his time. Maybe you mean time to cut his knee?
