Mentally tired? Find another line of work.

Physically tired? Of the six losses, only New Orleans was not battling for a playoff spot. Any evidence that we were pushing ourselves harder than the other teams?

I can after a back to back (we shared one with Denver), but we dropped over at the finish line?

Yes, mentally exhausted, if you can't understand that the mind is an integral component of a human being, I can't help you. Combine constant pressure to preform with physical exhaustion and you'll get, at least in my experience, a situation that is quite stressful and can effect you, if you're exposed to it long term.

By overextending his starters minutes, while expecting them to continuously perform at the highest level, McHale has put them into an unavoidable position to fail. And when you as a player fail to meet what is expected from you, even if those expectation are ill-founded, over and over and over again, it does tend to affect you mentally.

And I don't know what that has to do with my line of work, not that you know what I actually do.

You are taking this personally, please don't. I don't know you; you don't know me. It is my understanding that this forum is about the NBA, the top 400 players in the world.

Here is my mindset, it may not be yours. If I am part of a team that is facing five other teams that have just handed us our bleeps six times in a row, I am not about to say hey boss, I'm mentally fatigued. I don't give those excuses and I don't take them. You have to have great big ones to be an elite individual in terms of salary and position and try to use that type of girly man excuse. It doesn't cut it . Not for me.

I have no doubt that you have run up against mental fatigue, I know I have. You either find the fix or you don't, but life goes on. I understand that there are physical limits to the human body, but if you have something left in the tank but "Just don't have it anymore", your roster spot is going to go to someone who has it. If we want to build a Rockets into a team that can contend for a championship, we need at least need those that have the mental toughness to not crater when it really counts.

It may be they were physically spent, more accurately, more physically spent than the other four teams. There are physiological means to measure that. I have not seen any of that evidence.

Finally McHale admits rushing back Lowry, dumbest decision of the season! We would've made the playoffs if it weren't for this dumb coach and Lowry's pathetic play. Now they have to adjust back to using Boykins, too little too late. Do not want Lowry back and McHale failed big time, should be fired.

I believe they won at Portland with Lowry there. Regardless, integrating a major rotation player back into the mix will always take an adjustment period. This is how Orlando made sure to lose the Finals to LA, by forcing Jameer Nelson back into the lineup.
