Thank you for the support MD. I am now convinced that all Tinman wants is to hang on until you give up because you are sick and tired arguing with him. So he can make the last post and declare himself the winner. It is really not that difficult for him. All he needs to do is to keep throwing out the "A or B?", "Y or Z?" crap until you lose the interest responding to him. Isn't it sad?
its quite obvious that Macfu didn't understand what you were saying which was my point all along .keep posting about MLK, Malcolm and the other great examples. I enjoy it when you drop that deep of knowledge. I'm so glad its YOU on NBA Radio, could you imagine if you let someone like Macfu on? Thanks again for keeping it real.
If I were on NBA Radio, I would call you up and ask you this question: Is someone who volunteers to serve hot meal in the SA a contributor to society? You would have to man-up to answer this question in front of the radio listeners.
MacFu, I'm going to make this as simple as possible. My church go downtown twice a month and to feed, clothed, and talk to homeless people right by the TC. There are people with degrees and all types down there, but for some reason they gave up or battle depression or something. Most of my church members aren't retired but they still fellowship and try to help people. That contribution by us, is nothing to what ali did during his peak as a athelete and as a person. He had a loud voice and spotlight and he spoke about america being wrong in vietnam. They froze his money, stripped his title and he went to jail. I just said money has tamed the modern athelete and yao doesn't have to wait to make his soup kitchen tour.
I believe SOME (not all) folks have confussed calling Yao's game soft with calling Yao a soft person, and SOME have gotten definsive about that because Yao is a great guy. I personally believe that Yao has a 'soft' game but is a tough and strong human being. Since we are really talking about his game here, let's try not to take it as a personal attack against Yao who we all agree has proven he is a great person. I struggle a bit to put my belief that Yao has a soft game into objective words, so here's an attempt to get at the gut feeling: I sometimes yell at the TV saying, "Don't let that 6'4" guy dunk on you!!!!" "Thrown that 6'8" guy guarding you out of the way!!!!" "Get a rebound!!!!" "Dunk it!!! Don't do that little flip shot and MISS!!!!!" "The people in the other colored uniforms are your ENEMY durring the game!!! Kill them!!!" ect...ect Am I alone in this somewhat bizarre spectator behavior?
I said some of those same things when Dream played against Shawn Kemp for years.....especially the 3 point? game......So atleast Yao is closer to his hero than we thought.
so what happened since last night? Leebigez had to write another post explaining his point again to you guys. and you pal MacFu got rookified for continually mentioning serving wonton soup or gumbo or minestrone or tortilla soup in San Antonio over and over again. I feel like Bigez's energy is being wasted here as opposed to his great analysis on NBA Radio. bigez mentioned Ron Artest about a thousand times last year and I'm glad his wish was granted! And since some of you don't listen to NBA radio, Bigez isn't a butt kisser, he'll criticize Yao or Tmac on the radio if they play bad and he'll make analogies to players of back in the day. If the only thing that I accomplished here is getting you guys to listen to BigEz on nba radio (new season starts in the fall), then you'll thank me.
this makes no sense dude. Shawn Kemp was PF who played a transition game and Dream was a Center who played in the post. Didn't I already post your a youtube video of Dream hitting a 3 in the NBA finals?
Are we really still making the silly comparison of Ming to Dream? Come on people, Ming is a good player but he will NEVER EVER be as good as Dream. 4 Words sum up how silly this comparison is; Quadruple Doulbe 2 Championships
Lee, allow me to illustrate my point that you are moving the goalpost by saying the following. "Yes, I understand your point about Ali, but it's not like he was Gandhi, who promoted the political independence of an entire nation, and inspired the likes of Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela. Unlike Ali, who later regained his fortune (and was never assassinated), Gandhi gave up everything and lived the life of modesty (again, unlike multi-millionaire Ali) until his eventual assassination. Muhammad Ali could have stood up many other worldly injustices that occurred after his bout with the War. But, he didn't. He allowed his fame and fortune to dictate his actions." Now, my point wasn't to actually compare the two, as that would be fruitless within the construct of the current topic. The bottom line is this. Just because Ali wasn't Gandhi or Martin Luther King (two individuals who gave their lives), that doesn't mean he wasn't a courageous public figure who stood up for his convictions in the face of prosecution.
whenever kemp was playing illegal D, I consider that guarding Dream. you didn't answer that 3 pointer question. Dream could hit that 3 if he wanted to, but he's the Dream not Vlade or Okur.
Nothing changed since last night. I said I'm not debating this anymore with you, and I didn't. But, that doesn't mean your juvenile admiration for a guy online can't provide amusement for me. And quit beating the dead horse. I respect Bigez and his point about Yao and basketball. But, he can still make logical errors in arguments.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/mingya01.html Yao has taken exactly 9 three pointers in his career and made 1. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/o/olajuha01.html In 1993-94 season Dream hit 8 of 19, that's 42%
you may see logical errors in his arguments, but mr spock you aren't. I thought he points and arguments were legit. plus nothing is wrong with giving some one props. you want me to give you props?
