ISP Box on forums

    Have you seen these strange IP boxes on other forums? They come from danasoft.com I guess they try to sell you ghost surf (proxy surfing software). Just wanted to see if others have seen them.

    So I guess that box is supposed to contain information about me. It has the wrong IP address though but it's probably the IP address of my router.

    When I use IE. it tells me my ISP is rr.

    When I use my AOL thingy, it says my ISP is AOL, and it sucks.

    Okay then.

    It's a PHP program that uses your header information to create an image using that templete. Your browser when request an image sends your IP win Ver and browser type. Using an anonymous proxy makes this impossible... Carry on...

    I saw one of those recently over at Antionline.
    Pretty cool, but like BBnP said, it is realy simple to code.

    I found it pretty funny that if someone were to get that info, they would think I was on mindspring...not necessarily true, but I guess that since earthlink and mindspring are basically the same network, that is why it is saying that.

    It dont bother me for that kind of information to be easy to get since my router is pretty secure. If I was worried about that, I would use a proxy.
