Does he need money? With all the money he have in NBA and Knicks, he should be set for life right? If you suck so much at GM and Coach, you should just sit at home and relax.
Yes, we need a basketball guy as GM, so the numbers guy can be assistant and adviser -- stay in his room and away from the assets and media.
Just have him around and show new recruits what happens when you combine bad attitude with a god complex.
Isiah Thomas, from the few times I've heard his interviews, come across as someone with a ridiculously huge ego. I doubt someone like him is willing to work as an underling doing dirty work. And I sure as hell don't want him having the "final say" on any Rockets related basketball decision. Can he help the Rockets in some capacity if hired? Sure. But it certainly won't be a job he'd be happy with. No fit possible, IMO.
He's doing pretty well on the Kings especially considering he was the last pick of the draft last year. I wonder why the Kings would give up on him this early.
I dont think Isiah ever makes it back to the NBA. Donnie Walsh is also trying to land a GM gig next season. Good Luck Isiah.
When the owner of an NBA team calls you his friend and you gave the GM of that team his start as a GM by hiring him as an ass't GM you have a good chance of working in the NBA again.
Wow this guy is exactly what we need. Extremely personable, has a lot of street cred and extensive NBA experience. Morey can be demoted to assistant GM. He should be the guy behind the scenes crunching numbers anyway. DD
