Even though Moochie IS playing garbage time, he is still going against hustling defense. When he's playing, all the other scrubs from the other team are playing and are usually tryin their hardest becuase they're happy that they just got a chance to play. From the clutch game reports, this guy seems to be pretty good and pretty quick. I don't know whether clutch is being sarcastic or not, but it seems he's got a good upside to him. I've never seen Moochie play, so for those of you who have, can you please describe him? Do you think he's got future with this team? Where will Drew go in the offseason?
Well since I am a President of his Fan Club I think I should start. First this guy has one of the quickest crossovers. He is fast, can score if asked and passes the ball really, really well. I would love for him to be a backup for francis. He is fun to watch. But the best is that he has defense. Its amazing defense. WAIve DREW or something because MOOCHIE is the man. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris FAN CLUB
Believe me, Moochie can play! He is, without a doubt, an NBA-quality point guard. I got the chance to spend a week with him in Fort Wayne in January. He was one of the dominant players in the CBA; and there are a lot of NBA-quality players in that league. He is the fastest guy on the Rockets (Francis might be slightly faster) and he has great court vision. It would be a shame not to keep this guy. He's good enough to hold on to and to re-sign this offseason. Still young, he'd be a nice role player on a growing team.
So far, Moochie nails the open shot and is fast to the rim. He hasn't really been tested, yet though. Meaning he's not having to shoot 3's, he's usually left open closer. And he does not get challenged at the rim once he gets by his defender. He's being defended a lot like Drew is being defended, which largerly is to let them drive until they can proove they can do anything off the dribble. Drew's shown he can with that wonderful Hornachek ability to hit the floaters that can rarely be defended. Moochie has not been tested enough to determine if he has an undefendable shot like the Hornachek/Drew runner. And since he is not being challenge at the rim, we haven't seen much of his interior dishing ability like Francis/Mobley. did that help?
