Is it? Is he an elite qb or should he be fired?

I don't see Romo taking the Cowboys anywhere..

Not that Romo is great, but Jerrah is the problem.

    No it's Wade's fault err it's Jason's fault err it's Romo's fault errr it's Dez's fault errr it's so-and-so's fault.

Cowboys will go as far as Jerry Jones takes them. - Tom Jackson

Well, I guess they ain't going very far.

I always thought he was assumed to be elite... he has had his moments, but it did not look like it on Monday.

Jerry is like anyone else from Dallas, too worried about flexing his money instead of actually producing anything.

Just like the Raiders couldn't purge until Al finally kicked the bucket, its gonna be a long ride.

It seemed like Tony Romo is not a Great Leader during Monday...
I never see Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and Drew Brees act like that when they throw interceptions after interceptions...
    They just play through it...

The Cowboys appear soul less, besides Jerry Jones who is not a good person, I can't give a reason why. The Cowboys of the Landry era had more substance, class, moral integrity. Something is wrong with the current leadership. I would move Romo and make some coaching changes short of locking Jones in an underground bunker which is the preferable option. Never liked him, never will.

I wouldn't mention Romo in the same breath as QBs in the league that I consider 'elite'.

What has romo done to be considered elite? Doesn't TJ Yates have as many playoff wins as him?

As long as Jerry Jones is at the helm, the Cowboys will continue to be inconsistent and dysfunctional. Romo is not elite, but he is above average...arguably 2nd or 3rd tier.

If I'm Romo, I'd want to get the hell out of Dallas.

the big games get to him for some reason.. he plays ELITE when their is no pressure. Romo is a good guy, and i think he would have flourished more in a small market team.

There is a lot of problems with that team. Romo is one of them, not THE problem....but I don't think Dallas is going anywhere with him.

    so....not being a Cowboys fan...

I hope Jerry remains the GM.
    Romo is their QB.
No changes to their coaching staff.

Die-hard Cowboys fan here. I've been defending Romo forever, but it's a make or break season for him, and right now it's looking like the same old Romo. I've been waiting to see more consistency out of him, but it's not coming. Now, I'm not ready to give up on yet, but it's starting to look like one of two things need to happen... Get a new QB to run this system or start relying on the run A LOT more.

If Tony Romo was the quarterback for the Texans. We would have 2 super bowls already.

As a Cowboys fan, I really used to think Tony was great. It seems in the last couple years that he has lost some accuracy and some overall ability to execute the deep ball. Miles Austin has had some great catches where he gets big time YAC, but Romo isn't trying to throw it deep. Hard to tell if it is the play calling, Romo, or the just the ability of the receivers to get open.

Now I am not so sure about Romo. Honestly, Jerry has done a better job of being a GM the last few years and we really have a nice group of young players should we choose to rebuild. IMO we should after this year if we don't make the playoffs.

No point in asking if he's an elite qb

2 Super Bowls?? Really?? 2 years ago, this team had one of the worst defenses in history, and you're saying Mr. Interception would have led this team to the Promised Land?? Give me a break. Matt Schaub has thrown 1 interception in 178 THROWS! The team is 11-3 in his last 14 starts, and have won 8 starts in a row. For the season, Schaub is sitting at 8TH in the entire NFL in QBR right now. You're either a troll, or dumb as hell. I'm guessing both, honestly.

Back on topic, I think Romo needs a change of scenery. The Cowboys are doomed until Skeletor decides to finally sell the team. Due to all the pressure he loads onto them every single off-season, they play tighter and more wound up than a Jack in the Box. Every single time something starts going wrong, they unravel and start running around like chickens without heads, and Romo is the biggest culprit. However, I do believe he has talent, but he will never reach his full potential in Dallas. A team like Kansas City however would be able to use him, and I think he could do well there.
