When Aaron Brooks is in the game, you get the feeling that everything is going to be ok?

That's a true feeling; one that I have too.

Yea and you actually get excited when he puts up a shot instead of cursing as soon as Rafer even thinks of shooting

I know people say that Yao is the only true scorer we have , but I would have to add Aaron to that group because he has been doing his job very well. I wish he could be the starter.

Not speaking about the stats here. I find myself surprised when he misses open shots or shots in the lane. That isn't a familiar feeling when a Rockets PG shoots the ball.

His shots are just remarkable..... Im a small guy (5'9) and for me to see someone near my height make plays like he does is crazy!

It's more a feeling of relief that Rafer and his poor play are not on the court to hinder the Rockets. It would be difficult for Brooks to play as poorly as often as Alston even if he tried.

Is funny that when Yao is out he is the only with negative numbers. He is such important to this this beacuse when he is not in the lack of interior size make Houston defense a layup practice for opponent.

I feel the same way. In the latter part of the Jazz game, everytime the Jazz came down the floor you could feel their confidence, it is like they knew they were going to score. Everytime Rafer brought the ball down, you could just see the lack of confidence, it is almost like they knew they weren't going to score. The Jazz made it look easy, the Rockets made it look hard, until they got bailed out by Artest.

Aaron needs to start. Rafer should be a back up playing about 10-15 minutes a night. If Adleman cant see that its time to start Aaron, then the team is screwed. With Tmac struggling, the starting five has no one that can penetrate. Find me any team in the NBA with no starters being able to penetrate and finish at the rim.

Agree, Aaron needs to start because he makes the team so much better. Personally, Rafer's attitude is the his downfall. He acts like he is one of the best PG's in the game. Aaron plays to win

Your links says Brooks was a -5.7 and Alston was +2.2... so how does it support "Actually, is"?

A more interesting comparison would be how the team works when each of the guys plays with the main guys...

Judging by their numbers with Yao Ming, it seems the team's efficiency is roughly comparable. Though Brooks has been more selectively deployed match-up wise.

Anyone who claims to be "suprised" any time Brooks misses... He does shoot better than Alston, but he was 3-9 last night.. and missed his share of easy-ish shots over the season. Seems a lot of the perception may be selective memory.

I always gets that feeling that aaron could impose his will when he wants to.. I hate when brooks is balling, but rick adelman puts rafer back in the game like he's tony parker or something. I just knew that rafer was gonna sell the game against utah last night. he missed his free throw but luckily artest was in beast mode.

I hate when rafer is 2-12 and brooks is only 3-6. Brooks should atleast 12 shot attempts a game every game.

As compared to Rafer shooting 3-12 continuously (he has his good games too) over three seasons?

Law of averages... Brooks is a much better shooter/ penetrator than Rafer will ever be.

Brooks needs to play more as does Von Wafer. I get a feeling that Adelman puts Rafer in to satisfy his ego.
