The Lakers left Rider off their playoff roster. But I am not sure that was a good move. I mean, the guy can play, and scored when called upon several times this year. But the chemistry seems to be there for the Lakers without him. What would you have done?? http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news/fanball/20010420/fanball-lakersharperluemakei.html ------------------ HEAD KNIGHT: We are now... no longer the Knights Who Say 'Ni'. I guess you could look at this situation as being similar to the Rockets leaving Mad Max off the playoff roster in 1995 and rallying together to win a championship. But I don't think the Lakers are capable of dominating in the playoffs like the Rockets did. I think leaving Rider off the roster was a big mistake that will come back to haunt them. ------------------ See the three, be the three.
Max wasn't left off the playoff roster in 95. He was thrown off the team during the first round. He challenged Rudy and Rudy wasn't having it. Just another little thing that made the 95 run even more amazing. ------------------
That's what I meant. He may have been officially on the roster, but no way was he coming back to the team. Did he get a ring for that season? I'm pretty sure he did, but I've never heard it mentioned. ------------------ See the three, be the three.
Yes, he got his ring. ------------------ HEAD KNIGHT: We are now... no longer the Knights Who Say 'Ni'. KNIGHTS OF NI: Ni! Shh! HEAD KNIGHT: Shh! We are now the Knights Who Say 'Ecky- ecky- ecky- ecky- pikang- zoop- boing- goodem- zoo- owli- zhiv'.
