*It seems this thread did not get posted when I tried earlier, so I'm reposting* Honestly, has this team ever blown a team out? I was the one who posted the "Cooler Heads Prevail" topic after the Spurs loss, but this has gone on way too long. Also, I am against knee-jerk reaction threads, but we CONSISTENTLY make the same mistake throughout the games. Can we play a solid 48 minutes? There is no way in hell you can compare this team to the Lakers or Celtics simply for the reason that they blow out the ****ty teams and never let them get close. Phil Jackson gets angry when the Lakers let the Kings cut the lead to single digits at the end of the game. But to my point...do you ever expect this team to go a full game without having a MASSIVE SCORING DRAUGHT or a complete DEFENSIVE BREAKDOWN? Those two phrases seem to characterize this team. Ron Artest as our clutch player? Bad idea. But really, who else can we go to? I know Tracy isn't playing, but he would have taken an 18 foot jumper, and guess what, same result. People also like to mention how horrible our home crowd is. Well, who could blame them? We shoot like garbage, we don't have an exciting offense, we don't get many fast break points, we're nowhere near athletic, and we settle for contested fade-away jumpers (which seems to be patented by Ron). I sure as hell don't want to pay $200 for decent tickets to watch us play. Where do we go from here? What are our expectations? This season seems like another first round exit. And, as much as I hate to say it and deny it every chance I get, I could not be more disappointed in Ron Artest. He may be behaving well, but he is playing pretty poorly on the offensive end. To conclude, we are no where near the upper-echelon of the NBA.
Until things look different at home, I completely agree with this post. No more excuses for the crowd being bad too, I was completely bored out of my mind at the game today.
No I'm not surprised. I don't know why people think we will be fine when one of the 3 best players are missing. I knew this would be struggled, and I expected a win but I knew it was a very good chance we would lose. Hopefully T-mac now realizes he needs to be out there.
you're overreacting, its one month into the season. What you wrote may be all true, but its too early to know if this will be the norm for the rest of the season, especially with Battier just getting back in and not knowing it tmac will be 100%by the end of the year or if he'll be hurting all year.
It wasn't the first time the Rockets had let a bad team creep up close when we lost to the Spurs. But I was able to let it go at that time. But after seeing this game, and watching the Heat get close to us yesterday, I felt the need to abandon my hopeful demeanor.
They played like s*** today, indefensible game, but to dash playoff hopes just because of two or three bad games? That's like glass-full empty.
Theres no fukin excuses to losing this game. I dont remember the last time Ive been this mad. Oh Man, I yelled on top of my lungs, fukin threw my parents remote across the room, punched a door. Man its BS, were not contenders, were not contenders. So yall dont get mad when "experts" from ESPN dont chose us to win it all, because were not. We choke.Choke. I think all of us curse our own damn team. Sometimes I wish I didnt like sports, it hurts too much.
Lmfao, I thought this read you threw your parents across the room. Oh man, I'm so miserable this just brought a smile to my face
Not surprised one bit, we have had trouble with the weakest teams in the NBA. Sure it is early in the season but damn we have enough talent to blow out the scrub teams yet we still can't...not even at home.
We're not consistent. We can't be losing to mediocre teams and giving up leads for nothing. If game was close the whole time, I wouldn't care like the Portland one. But SA game and this one is really bothering me.
We better get our act together, because the playoffs start next week! Seriously, its November and we are 10-6 last time I checked. Around this time last year the Lakers were a .500 team before finishing the season in the NBA Finals.
I'm sick of waiting for this team to "rise above" and take care of business. We may have good players, but we don't have a guy who hits clutch shots down the stretch. We have a bunch of individuals who can't handle adversity. Wake me up when they stop playing like a big group of vaginas.
November or not, I really can't see this team turning it around. No doubt, this team makes the playoffs, and I can safely say we get in as a top 4 team, but that's not good enough. I want a team that can go deep into the playoffs, one that can compete for a championship, one that doesn't blow double digit home leads.
this mentality is just getting beyond ridiculous.. you say this as if our team make-up is Artest, Yao, Tracy, followed with a Ryan Bowen plummet in talent.. did you catch this team's shooting percentage this game..? Tracy wouldn't have made us shoot better..
