Is there a way to add cover art to the iPod? I was able to add it to my iTunes, but the only cover art showing up on the iPod itself is for the most recently added CDs.

    Thanks!

click on 'info' where you can fill in the artist name, song, ect. there is a tab for artwork - you can find the image online somehwhere and just copy/paste right there. it doesnt even have to be album artwork - you can paste whatever you want in there.

but i thought the latest ipod update had a new thing where it will automatically download all the album covers. after installing the update i remember it asking me if i wanted it to do that and i said 'no'.

i have some covers in there, but not for all of my music. i know they are very small files, but id rather have as much space possible for music, video, photos, backed up files from work, ect - i only got a 30 gig and its almost full. when i bought my ipod i didnt think there was any way i would need 60 gigs - i could probably use it now.

edit - actually, when i reread your question sounds like you already did what i was talking about. i dont know how to answer - do you mean the artwork doesnt show up on your ipod or on your computer? sometimes artwork doesnt show up on my ipod for albums that i know i put the artwork up for (i have all the beatles albums and their artwork and sometimes they dont show up). i dont know what the deal is???

I have them all on my iTunes and all the CDs I've added since I did the upgrade have them. What I want to do, if possible, is to add the cover art to my iPod for the CDs I added before the upgrade. I see them on iTunes, but when I play the CD on the iPod, it's not there.

yes - the same thing happens w/ me (see edit in my previous post). i dont know how to fix that. the artwork is cool, but not necessary for me so i never cared to look into it.

i dont know how many songs you have and how bad you want the artwork in there, but i bet if you delete the covers for the ones you manually put up and let the ipod reupdate them itself they would probably show up.

it would probably be a big pain in the ass though.

Just go to the advanced tab, and select get album work. It will get the covers for every album in your library. Do it a few times to make sure it gets them all.

I had the same problem. The fix is easy. Just clear and re-add (on your ipod, not itunes library) the songs whose artwork isn't showing up on your ipod.
