I have a mini iPod and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which iPod speaker to get if anyone has had experience with one. The Bose one looks sweet but it's a bit too expensive for my tastes. Any ideas that you know work well and sound great?

Just get an iTrip and use any home stereo or radio.

WOW. I was JUST looking for that one.

Gummi, my uncle has an iTripp thingie, and it works wonderfully. He can't wear headphones at his job, so that's why he asked me to research for mini speakers. HOw about a headphones-less mini iPod? I am looking right now. I found the digiLife speakers at eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5781898179)... how well do THOSE look?

My GF has the Altec Lansing Imotion speakers. They are great LITTLE speakers. A little on the pricey side but not bad. I think the thing she likes best about it is that it charges your Ipod at the same time. If you don't care about charging, you could probably go with some cheaper computer speakers that sound the same, if not better. I think you can get the Imotion at Amazon for around 80-90 bucks

It depends where you live really.

It works great for me here in Houston.

But my brother has one, he lives elsewhere, and he gets mega interference for some reason.

I love my iTrip though.

You plug in the iTrip to the top of the iPod. It is defaulted to play on any radio if you set the station to 87.9FM. It also comes with a software that allows you to change this setting.

It will work in the car, or any other radio that has an FM setting for 87.9FM.

Simply AWESOME, EASY, and WIRELESS!!! not to mention most likely less expensive and bulky!!!

If he already has a radio at work the iTrip option is perfect!

Since the iTrip rund on radio frequency there are occasional reports of radio interference. I use mine mainly in the car, but have used it on my home radios as well and have had no real problems. Rarely when I am passing a heavily wooded or B.F.E. area, I will have some minor radio interference.

p.s. i think there may be a mini iTrip.

Yea, there's a mini iTrip. I was planning on getting that anyway. Thing is, I don't have any stero speakers or anything like that that I own, so I thought I might as well go with ones that were made for ipods.

wes, which Inmotion speakers does she have? iM3 or iMplus? I like how the plus folds up. Looks nice.

I have an iTrip, but another alternative would be to buy a wire that has the headphone prong on one end and the two audio jacks on the other. This way you could plug the audio jacks into the back of a stereo, and the headphone prong into your iPod and not lose sound quality (that sometimes occurs with interferrence from other stations when using iTrip). You can get the cord relatively cheap at radioshack.

Pretty happy with the Altec Lansings for the beach.
4 AA batteries lasted two full days.
