[ipod help] FM transmitter Hi guys, Anyone know what's the best option for a FM transmitter for IPOD (vedio)? The Griffin Itrip doesn't fit with 5th gen ipod, I think. And that Roadtrip thing is ugly and expensive. Any suggestions?
I have a belkin one i got on black friday for 10 bucks and it sucks. The connection will get fuzzy randomly and will occasionally just drop out entirely. If you want a good solid connection, go buy one of those adapters that connect to your tape deck instead of using the stupid fm transmitters.
Thats pretty common. When that happens you just change it and your radio to a different station. I've had one for about 8 months and haven't had a problem with it.
Yea, it got mixed reviews. From what I saw on the web, the newer version with the LCD is much better, but I'm not sure it works with the vedio Ipod I have.
I have been looking into this for my ipod as well. From everything I have heard getting the adapter that goes into your tape deck is the only way to go.
I got a $10 one from Radio Shack. It sucks too. My car only has a CD drive. I cannot believe that an audio input is not a standard feature on any modern cars.
I bought a car adapter/aux input for 50 bucks. Plus 3.50 for the cable. So for 53.50, you can have perfect audio from your ipod to your car. I'd recommend this route. Took about an hour for the installation.
I don't see how it can mess up your radio unless you pull out the wires with your teeth. Even if something does happen, you can take out the adapter and claim ignorance.
The Monster one. Yeah it's expensive but it's the most highly recommended one + it charges your Ipod at the same time. You get what you pay for with these FM transmitters...
