I got a question for those who use the iPhone and also a PC. I used the iTunes program on my PC to back up my iPhone and had selected it to back up to the iCloud but instead it backed it up to my PC. I'm trying to save space on my PC and want to remove the back up on my PC but can't find it and haven't found anything telling me where on the PC it is and now I am iPissed. Anyway know how to remove an iPhone backup file(s) from a PC?
\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ I'm not sure how accurate that is, but you can give that a try.
Yes. Go to your preferences in iTunes. It's listed there. OR, you can go to your AppData folder and find a huge 4+GB file in there under "Apple". Or, just google it like I did. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4447083?start=0&tstart=0 http://bit.ly/10LIlys
Thanks I tried that and see the backup on my PC. This whole experience has just been more proof that Apple and PC really hate each other.
You might want to check your preferences, too. You can delete from there so the application doesn't go crazy because you manually deleted it.
Why do you think this is an iPhone vs. MS issue? This is simply a matter of where the backup is located on a particular OS. There is no magic done on a Mac to make this easier to find.
