Or you could just download an alternative launcher, by going to your market, and hitting download Complete UI changes your'e right though, rooting isn't exactly easy (depending on device) like jailbreaking, but I believe root provides more functions. Superuser access, ability to make changes to your processor speed, and how the phone interacts with the kernel, etc. One of things that bothered me alot when I had an iPhone (yeah, i know crucify me) was the fact that jailbreaking just seemed to make my phone slowwww as hell. In Android, rooting your phone enables you to make it faster and push it it's limits. Is that still the case since you seem to know your jailbreak shiznit?
