No FLASH and USB port equal waste of money. My smart phone/laptop/ps3/hd led 3d tv/psp/nintendo dsi can do much more than what an ipad can do.
What does this have to do with the marketplace? Or more importantly, what developers are going to do going forward. Emulators are nothing new. By that logic, the Wii is the best console out there. Why do you think the hardware is the reason for the current state of affairs?
The iPad has sold like crazy... even though it's just a bigger iPhone. I fully expect the iPad 2 to do similar. It's all about marketing, and Apple always wins out in that department. I'm interested to see what Android will do with that new 3.0 tablet software. I don't see a need to a get a tablet if you have a smartphone and a laptop though. If you really want an iPad, I would wait till March when the new iPad comes out.
I really like the Blackberry Blackbook but I'm a little afraid that it's going to be sluggish at time. <object classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="437" height="266" id="viddler"><param name="movie" value="http://www.viddler.com/simple/3a820f38/" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="flashvars" value="fake=1"/><embed src="http://www.viddler.com/simple/3a820f38/" width="437" height="266" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="always" allowFullScreen="true" flashvars="fake=1" name="viddler" ></embed></object> And I'm willing to give Android 3.0 a chance. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/6nBi-QYCxKI" frameborder="0"></iframe>
I am glad to see Android is closer to releasing an OS tailored for a tablet. That looks nice. Any dates yet? Why isn't this guy actually using the touchscreen when he goes into these different features? Looks like just videos playing on it, I guess? He only uses it directly when he hits a button or two.
It's actually a video demoing what the Android 3.0 will look and function so that's Tablet is not actually running Android 3.0 at the moment.
Apparently, ASUS is putting out four different tablets this year... http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/hiner/?p=7245&tag=nl.e019
With the exception of LED/3D viewing and making a phone call, my one iPad can do 99% of everything all of those devices put together can do.
When I first heard about the ipad I wasn't that interested, I have an ipod and laptop, so I figured don't need it. Then I saw the price for the ipad, and really wasn't interested.
Hardware is a lame excuse, considering I was running much better games on my iPhone 3g, than my current Nexus S. And the hardware in the Nexus S is not that new.
It's a software thing too. Android did not have the gaming APIs that iOS and WebOS have until recently. WebOS has shown that even with a relatively tiny market share, the games will come if you provide the APIs. I expect that to happen with Android. Personally though, I'm not big on gaming anyway.
Welp... even Dell has one now. http://gizmodo.com/5726805/dell-streak-7-tablet-is-a-dual+core-tegra-2-4g-pocket-pit-bull
Alright outdated by it's own company. LOL. They announced a 200mhz speed bump, 5 mp camera, and LTE at CES. I would be PISSED if I had just bought one. It was released in late October...lol. Plus Samsung is not updating the OS on older devices, some of which were release in the fall...including The Tab.....I would buy any mobile Device from Samsung or Sony ( who is not updating their android 2.1 devices either...lol. Just love Android Fragmentation.
yeah my Epic is still running 2.1 we're barely going to get 2.2 I can get it unofficially but its buggy. I should've gotten a Nexus but T-mobile is a piece of crap and putting it on at&t is stupid due to lack of 3g
